Today was an incredible day at Legoland Florida! I was so impressed how the park has been transformed. I'll do a full update soon, but for now here are a couple of photos and some videos to hold you over....

TPR had an amazing time at Legoland Florida. The transformation well exceeded expectations! Perfect fit in family of Legoland parks!

Awesome POV's (as always)!

What an awesome park for kids--those are some of the coolest kid coasters I've seen!

^agreed. When I heard they were using the existing coaster I was a little concerned that this dragon would pale in comparison to the rest but it looks great! Thanks for the update!

It's a shorter coaster, but the same fun dark ride as the others!

Am I allowed to eat donkey during lent?

I never realized until watching the POV's that the normal and inverted Vekoma junior coasters have essentially the same layout. I feel dumb now.

Still though, this park looks great, and might finally be the first new successful park that the US has had in almost a decade! :)

I also attended media day.

I was at Cypress Gardens the last operating day as well. IMO the park is much nicer and more enjoyable as a Legoland park.

At the media event, it was announced the park will be expanding in May 2012 with the addition of a Legoland Waterpark. Their area also plans for a Lego Themed resort hotel in the near future! The long term goal is for Legoland Florida to become a multi-day resort destination.

Luna Park has been successful. But I agree that more quality parks are a great thing.
