Postby Werner » Wed Jun 29, 2011 10:49 am

Hello there..

and welcome to this photo TR of The Copenhagen Journey(and a little surprise)

It all started about 1,5 month ago when me and my girlfriend had the idea to do a weekend away. Just with the 2 of us.
And last weekend it all happend...

Friday June 24st,

Very early in the morning we woke up, we had to get to Schiphol Airport(AMS), to get on our plane to Copenhagen.

Our plane was already waiting for us...

After 1 hour we already left the plane and went towards Copenhagen CIty, the train took us from the Airport to the City in 10 minutes.

And we got of at Kopenhavn H, the grand station of Copenhagen, after this it was about a 5 minute walk towards to hotel.

The hotel for the next 3 nights...

This hotel was located around 200M from the side exit of the station and more important! Just 500m from Tivoli Gardens!! PS. 300m walk straight trough the station :P

After we relaxed a little bit at our room, we went out and walked trough the city...

Hello and welcome back for our laxst day of this journey. On this last day we visit Bakken...

To start off the day we arrived at Bakken a hour early, my mistake =) But better early then late..

Bakken was for me the surprise of the trip, just a really fun little park. And to add to the little part, they had the most coasters: 5 :lmao:

Time to start the pics:
001.jpg
Welcome to Bakken, the oldest park in the WORLD!
002.jpg
A very old airtime monster...
003.jpg
Rutschbanen, i like them already...
004.jpg
Let the Duck out!
005.jpg

006.jpg

007.jpg
Tornado, well it does spin some.. but not much...
008.jpg
Bakken street, with lots of food!
009.jpg
The good Intamin of the park, their only mine train...
010.jpg
SPINNING-POLYP!!
011.jpg
Old skool! Racing...
012.jpg
And a final pic of the old airtime monster...

After we left Bakken we went on the city again, and had something to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe.

013.jpg
Jummie! Hard Rock...

And then it was already time to go home...

Bye Kopenhagen...

Hi TPR

I enjoyed reading your trip report and looking at your beautiful photographs - particularly of Tivoli Gardens at night.

[Q] Was Bakken quiet on the day of your visit? I ask because the two trains in your 'Scenic' photo show two trains riding almost empty. With new trains on an old-school ride, would you say the coaster has lost popularity since making the on-board brake-persons unemployed?

Simon
