Postby robbalvey » Sun Mar 20, 2005 10:27 pm

Hey everyone.

I just got some Sea World of Texas photos submitted by one of our readers.

Looks like a good time from this weekend!

"Steel Eel." Still gets my vote for best "Fish themed coaster!"

I believe most Eels actually are bright yellow and gray.

Still...the "Eel" is a fun ride!

OMG! That is one *FAT* penguin!!! Is he a card carrying member of ACE? =)
swot5.jpg
Hey Shamu! Can you do a flip?
swot6.jpg
Well, Hot Damn!!! I guess you can!
swot7.jpg
LOOK! We found Nemo!!!! Sea World better be paying royalties to Pixar for the use of this fish.
swot8.jpg
Always some good fun at the Clyde and Seamore show.
swot9.jpg
For some reason, there always seems to be a lot of fish at Sea World...not sure why...hmm....

Nice pictures. I've only been to the one here in Socal, and that's when I was three and they didn't have anything. Anyway, nice pictures.

There was one in Ohio? That's crazy.

Well, I don't know that it's CRAZY... but, yes there was!

It was on the shore of Geauga Lake, which was a separately owned theme (ride) park. The Sea World in Ohio did not have rides as the remaining SW parks do now. When Busch decided to close it, Six Flags bought both parks and for a while continued to have animals there. Six Flags has since sold it to Cedar Fair and they are revamping this year from what I have read.

I probably visited the park 6-7 times between the late 70's and late 90's. It was less crowded, less expensive and easier for us to get to than Florida.

What's a custom title?

Hopefully I can make the park this coming May. Last time I was there it was Very Hot and Steel Ell and Great White didn't exist. Besides, I barely remember going there.

"Steel Eel." Still gets my vote for best "Fish themed coaster!"

I can't think of any other "Fish Themed Coasters"
Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.
