The only thing amusing about Ghost Hole was the animatronic violently vomiting into the toilet out front. Or maybe that was Spook-A-Rama, they both kind of run together in my memory bank.

Great TR as always, Chuck!

That stinks about Thunderbolt ,well, uh... stinking.
After I left you guys at Dorney I thought about going either to Coney Island or Rye Playland. As I had been to Coney Island pre-Zamperla days, I went with Playland. I still got to ride a Volare. Lucky me.

This park looks sooooo different from when I went last in 08, I'll have to get there and experience the new stuff next time I'm on the east coast!

Also Chuck, at the risk of being cast into the gutter of former friends I do believe I've eaten at Ruby Tuesday in Manhattan. Not my choice though, family holiday!

Why so much hate for the Volare? I enjoyed both of the ones I've been on. Hell, I prefer the Volare to one of the dreadful S:UF clones.

^For some, Volares are designed by angels. For others, they're a product of the Spanish Inquisition.

But you enjoy. ;)

The Volare at Coney Island was bearable, i guess, but the one at Canada's Wonderland is decidedly the worst steel coaster I have ever ridden.

All the Volares I've ridden seen pretty much the same--simply not good. But they aren't the worst steel coasters I've ever ridden. Take that, Space Mountain at Paris Disney!

In this case, the hurricane improved the ride. ;)

They shortened the outdoor section decades ago, not due to Sandy. However, due to Sandy they gutted and renovated practically everything inside, they also added gags that had been in storage and added completed new gags. Post-Sandy renovations were a huge improvement.
