RollerCoasterSmi
I went to Drayton Manor yesterday and had a great time and there were hardly any queues whatsoever, I think the longest I waited was for Ben 10: Ultimate Mission which was for about 10 minutes. Ben 10 is a really good ride for what it is, it hasn't been overhyped like some other rides COUGHTHIRTEENCOUGH. Both rides felt quite similar in some respects: sharp turns, small moments of airtime and a backwards section. It is much better in the front though, the back is quite dull. Drayton Manor has really cleaned up their act with Thomas Land and a few rides being refurbed. It was a really awesome day. I did see for the first time someone ask the ride op whether the Buffalo Mountain Coaster has loops, his response was: "It hasn't done so in 24 years, but it does do flat loops!" The boys were confused and wimpered off. I ran straight over to Apocalypse, which was a walk on for all five sides. It doesn't look like much from the bottom, but it is different at the top, and it sure delivers fear. Ben 10 train. I thought the ride was smooth, but the restraint dug into my legs. The funky spike looks cool but doesn't really deliver. Here is a view of Ben 10 from the ferris wheel, you can get a good idea of the layout. They had alot of lime green merchandising throughout the park, it tasted disgusting. This is an Elissa friendly spinning ride. It spun really slowly. Also it used to tilt, but not anymore. Plus it is Intamin! This is a really good kiddie coaster. It is smooth and chucks you around a bit at the end. Troublesome Trucks artsy shot. New Zamperla junior regatta under construction. Skloosh... Storm Force 10 is a decent water ride and is nicely themed. Artsy shot of Maelstrom, this ran insane today. I never remember being thrown around so much! The totally awesome (in my opinion) but messed up G Force. Good to see it is ACEr friendly. Three words: Best Inversion Ever. The new blue trains were smoother and sexier. But the train is shorter and they only run one. Not good for busy days. I saw about five escorted men in suits around the park. I don't know what they were doing. I decided to follow them after remembering a rumour about a Mack launched coaster. And they came to this site where Black Revolver used to be. This was later on in the day. I don't know what it is. Any ideas?
LoopLover
Nice pictures....Does Ben Ten have a lot of indoor queuing indoors? and is it well themed?
RollerCoasterSmi
The queue for Ben 10 is all indoors. It is really well themed for a British park (I mean it is no Disney). It is a really good addition to the park.
