GriffyTiffy
Hey Everyone! I figured, that with a new year, comes a new thread to post of my recent trips. My first trip of the year was a weekend in St. Louis, MO. with Nathan (AKA: kumba830)! We hit the City Museum (if you don't know what it is, it isn't your average museum, but more on that later) and Six Flags St. Louis. Without further adieu, lets jump into part 1! CITY MUSEUM As soon as we began planning this trip, we were dead set on a night here. This Mcdonald's Playplace on steroids is one of the most fascinating places on the planet. With endless tunnels, slides, and surprises, each trip is different! I hope you enjoy the photos! The first thing you see when walking up is this bus. When the Roof is open, you can go inside it! MonstroCity is also outside. It has cages, planes, a giant ball pit, and a castle tower. More insanity. ^ Another plane. Nathan inside, in the hall of mirrors! A sumo wrestler we found. Who would win? The Skateless Park. I room full of ramps, jumps and the world's largest pencil! I don't know what this is... I'm frightened. Sign me up! Cage tunnel action shot: part one..... ...and part two! Griffin the caged animal says: "buhhhh" crazy. OMNOMNOM Awkward photo with the Big Boy. SLIDE POV!!!! Ha... you have cold blood. There is something scary about this that keeps me up at night. The aquarium has a tunnel that travels through the shark tank! hey babe. Let's name this turtle Fillmore. Fillmore has a silly mouth. Birdy! Another freaky whosywhatsy. And we close this report with more BAZOOBS. Come back soon for Six Flags St. Louis photos! Thanks for reading, and be sure to reply Edited July 24, 2011 by GriffyTiffy
kumba830
Great photos griffin, can't wait for part two. To anyone who has yet to go to the city museum and enjoys heights, slides, and reasonable amounts of pain. The city museum is a MUST if you happen to be in the area. Jerrykoala2112
Wow.... This place looks like a McDonalds play place on steroids, and not as colorful! But it does look like a boat load of fun. So sad I couldn't come along, but seemed like you still had a blast! Have you ever been in the arch? So scary! Thanks for posting Griffin!

jynx242
The City Museum is definitely one of the most INSANE places I've ever visited. I was quite certain that I was going to die several times while we were there. The slide going down the outside front of the building was EPIC. I must have been travelling MACH 6 by the time I got to the bottom. Thanks for posting this. David
GriffyTiffy
^ I agree! That slide (along with many of the others were "HOLY S***" fast! Glad you liked the report! Now for part 2 of St. Louis.... SIX FLAGS ST. LOUIS This was the main reason for this excursion. While unfortunately Sky Screamer wasn't open yet, we still had a ton of fun! Xcalibur is one of the most forceful flats ever... my bottom lip peeled back! Looking straight at the ground from 120 feet is quite an experience! New name and signs for the spinner formally known as Tony Hawk Boss surprised us.. after all the bad things we had heard/experienced, it was FANTASTIC! Pretty wood. Gum roof.... do they ever clean this? Ew. The helix was intense! Thunder River Mr. Freeze <3 another great coaster at SFSTL American Thunder.... yet another great coaster! Airtime! I love the look of these trains. Up the lift! woooosh speedy! Twisty! The exit path is REALLY close to the track! The turn by the station Pandemonium! Backside of BTR Cloudy loop Time for more Boss! Dragon's Wing Shiny Boss! Highland Fling Mr. Freeze I love this entrance mmmmmm Freeze Did you know that a tomato isn't a vegetable, but that it is actually a type of dolphin? odd..... omnomnom cool model of the old Jet Scream looping coaster New sign! mmmmm t-t-t-t-t-tasty tasty blurrrrr And now it is time for SILLY FACES WITH NATHAN!!!!!! enjoy! teehee! 1pizza14
Great TR. Did it rain at all that day? Looked like bad thunderstorms in some of your pctures. Really enjoyed both ptrs!
Pirouettes907
I didn't know there was a model of Jet Scream there--where exactly is it within the park? Glad you at least thought the Boss was running well, as it's something I've yet to experience!
Hang And Bang
Also curious where that Jet Scream model is. I've been going to SFSTL my whole life and have never seen it. I'm guessing it's new, which really surprises me as SFSTL never really does anything to celebrate its past. Very cool they made it and I'll have to check it out on my next trip! GriffyTiffy
Thanks everyone for the replies! B.A.B: Freeze and Batman are terrific rides, I would hope you would be able to ride them! DarkStitch626: It would have been awesome to party with you, Sean! WW1 Flying Ace: I did that in another STL report a while ago haha..... glad you liked the end! dj_snow: I heard! Sucks to miss it, it's one of the best parts! JerryKoala2112: Glad you liked it! Boss <3 1pizza14: It didn't rain at all, just got cloudy. Glad you enjoyed! Pirouettes907: It is in the Palace Theater lobby for this season only. And Boss running well was shocking! Hang And Bang: They did it for the 40th Anniversary. Really cool exhibit, more parks should do it! And now.... it's time for yet another trip report! SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA OPENING DAY Ah, yes, one of the best times of the year. My home park is finally open and it is time yet again for good times and great memories with the coolest people ever! Today's group included: Me, my dad, Ryan (Mr.Starr), Nathan (kumba830), Jo (Jojo19799) and Gavin, Patrick (traincrossin), Jon (deathbydinn) and his mom, Cameron (Cameron) Let us take a look into what went down just yesterday..... First ride of the season is Batman! This box of randomness is new. Cool to see! We all love Batman! Ryan has a silly face. Little Dipper had no line, so we had to ride! I like the new logo on the train. I hope Jon and his mom can take the intensity! Dipper made a few of us a little loopy. (especially Nathan) New this season.... open space/ugly racetrack! Spacely's didn't like us..... So we got stuck! After a small delay, we moved on to Fiddler's Fling! Patrick is excited! In Southwest Territory we find B&M goodness. And Giant Drop! mmmmm Soon we had to process our passes.... Long waits in the rain led to a coat party! .... and then Cameron did push ups! Shall we take a Whizzer? We shall! They played this cool video of American Eagle construction to celebrate the 30th anniversary! "Oh, Anton!" chug chug chug scandalous! After Whizzer, we found Kyle! Hi Kyle! mmmm Viper.... mmmmm Raging Bull.... THROUGH THE.... window... thing.... For our last ride, we had to ride Whizzer! yum! bye bye Six Flags! then... we put Five Guys in our mouths! Day: conquered. Thanks for reading! Make sure to reply Edited May 8, 2011 by GriffyTiffy
