bokasanta
Finally, after 2 1/2 years the new Bracalandia is here! We were the 4th to enter the new park (not bad, LOL). In new location in Penafiel near Porto. If you ask me the new location is way far better that the old one, now it's outside city limits located in a small hill with a small valley with lots of trees and green spaces. It's perfect. As you will see in the photos there is lot's of work to do, but the administration never hidded that fact from us. 13th March is also the birthday of my daughter and the staff have prepared some surprises for her, as you will see. By the way they're awesome!!! In one or two years it will be a great place to invite Rob , Elisa and the rest of the team. Until then, nothing but wait. After almost 3 hours by car we 're arrived in the park and this is what hapenned... Finally we're here... This was not the view to expect from an opening day. Nice theming in the entrace. Here is something familiar from the old park. Now for the kids stuff. We have our own Eiffel Tower. Trash bin "Eu como o lixo" means "I eat the trash". Bon appetit... And now for some theming. Ferris wheel from the old park. The first coaster of the park, more are still to come. The medieval village. Mystery island. The pirate ship, which you could visit and see some scenes on it's inside. A detail from the mystery island Artsy photo... Haunted castle. Nice theming to a bar. Look, there's a dead skeleton. This is the Zambeze. Unfortunately it's was very cold to ride it. My wife after luch and a few beers after... A giant me... or a very small Eiffel Tower. Nice view from the Ferris Wheel As you can see there is lot's of work to do. Montanha Mágica means Magic Moutain, the old coaster with the old name. My family having fun in the coaster. A little birthday surprise my daughter's have. Great look, dude! Inside the haunted castle, i think it's not finished. Toillet nerd shot. A last photo before we go. Goodbye Bracas, until next time. SharkTums
It looks like a nice little park with a ton of potential! I'm sure we'll be back in Portugal again in the future and look forward to checking this place out!
Gutterflower
thanks for sharing. Before today I didn't know Portugal had any parks. It has always struck me as odd that a city as big and as nice as Lisbon doesn't have its own major park
bokasanta
thanks for sharing. Before today I didn't know Portugal had any parks. It has always struck me as odd that a city as big and as nice as Lisbon doesn't have its own major park Unfortunately this park is not near Lisbon. It's almost 300km away, if you visit Porto you're ok to go there (about 30km). In Lisbon The only park we had was closed 7 or 8 years ago and until today there is nothing. Cheers.
