That Sunway Lagoon Park looks really nice, especially when you consider that it's in Vietnam.

Cool TR, I never even knew these parks existed until now.
This is my signature. Deal with it.

Great TR. The Tigers in the dark ride kind of looked a little scary. They would have scared the crap out of me. :b Looking forward to the next part of your trip report. Have fun traveling.

Thanks for a great TR, there have been a lot of good ones lately. Sunway Lagoon looks so scenic. That waterpark looks beautiful too. The wave pool looks huge, and those waterfalls...just awesome!

I just want to thank everyone for the nice comments.

Chuck: The bridge is incredible and certainly provides a unique theme park experience. FYI the bridge is 428 meters long which equates to around 1400 feet in American speak.

Sunway Lagoon is a few coasters short of being great. However, with Genting Highlands only an hour away, it fits in with its niche. (Genting Highlands is a theme park/casino resort with two theme parks located an hour away from KL.) Look for a Genting Highland TR on this thread in the coming future.

I will be posting pictures of Cosmo's World an indoor theme park housed in a KL mall tomorrow. It houses the best indoor looping coaster I have ever been on and certainly the best coaster in Southeast Asia IMO.

Thanks for posting everything this TR is very interesting and a great read, its awesome to see parks that aren't always talked about.

Just a question and this is aside from amusement parks, while you were in Kuala Lumpur did you ever go up in the Petronas Towers?

I think it's hilarious that they glued fake beards onto the tigers to try to turn them into lions.

Yes we did. IMO the Petronas Towers are the most attractive buildings I have ever seen. I guess it has something to do with the stainless steel exteriors, but I really loved them.

Every morning they hand out tickets for free to the sky bridge on the 41st floor. Once your time comes they take you up for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, just as we got up to the bridge it started to pour so we didn't get any scenic views, but it was really neat. I highly recommend visiting the Petronas Towers if you are in KL. I have some pics on my flickr page if you are interested.

Thanks again!

The first park seems nice, but is it honestly Disney? Because it doesnt seem to have the Disneyish look like Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

The second park though is REALLY NICE! That's some beautiful scenery and great theming! Just curious though, the first coaster you see upon entering the park (the mine train) is a Vekoma right? And is Vekoma the only company that designs and builds mine train roller coasters?
