Frade Posted June 28, 2006 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Hello everybody I have been preparing this big photo album about almost all the times I have been to a theme park and a little bit about my life and history. On my entire life I have visited 48 different theme parks around the world. My coaster count is: 241 coasters ( 206 Steel & 35 Wooden ) Here are some pictures of the history of a boy that was born in Mexico City one morning of October 6th of 1986, that have had great experiences though life: 4 different summer camps in Canada; on summer of 2003 went to Europe for 2 months by him self, and have visited these different countries: USA = ( Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Maryland, Nevada, Minnesota, Illinois ) Canada = ( Toronto ) Mexico = Most of it England Scotland Spain France Germany Belgium Netherlands Denmark Norway Sweden Germany Italy Switzerland Luxembourg Also that boy has accomplished many goals, for example winning some contests where he used his K´nex coasters models; also he was the director of a play “ Mujer: tienes ojos de mujer fatal” that out of 14 different plays got 3rd place; also he was the President of a contest about politics, and got first place. Talking about sports this boy is a sports guy, he had played: Football Soccer, Tae Kuan Do, he has swam all his life, played Ice Hockey for 4 years, Water Skiing, and Wakeboarding. This boy is a Disney fan, and got the chance to visit Disney almost every year of his life. Today this boy moved from Mexico City to Florida, to a town near NASA called Melbourne, he is studding Structural Civil Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology ( FIT ), the mayor will prepare him to: “ As a structural engineer, you will face the challenge of designing structures that enclose or span across space. Structures must maintain their shape while they resist all sorts of loads in addition to their own weight, including wind, earthquake, snow, ocean waves, and temperature effects. Bridges, buildings, offshore structures, space platforms, amusement park rides, and may other kinds of projects are included within this exiting specialty. You will use steel, concrete, timber, plastic and you might even develop new exotic materials. You will do the planning and design, as well as visit the project site to make sure work is done properly.” In his freshman year he won an award; out of the 100 Civil Engineers at FIT, he got the 4th place out of the 5 awards given; for him this was a great thing to happen because he is just a freshman, he comes from another country, and a different culture. The students who receive these awards not only demonstrate excellence in their ASCE and academic areas, but show a special passion that they always maintained. 1. Mr. Joseph Morrissey, Sophomore 2. Mr. George Norton, Freshman Every weekend he has been on FIT, this boy goes to Orlando or Tampa to enjoy the great theme parks they have. The best weekend he has had was the weekend where his really good friends Robb Alvey and Elissa Alvey went to Orlando and hang out with him. Frade Posted June 28, 2006 Author Share Posted June 28, 2006 This is my latest picture on a theme park: This past Saturday, on a Marathon at Six Flags celebrating SFM 6th Anniversary, Club de Fans de Montañas Rusas 6th anniversary, and since this is 2006, and SFM had 6 coasters, we rode each of them 6 times.
