Erik Johnson
I met up with Soren and his girlfriend Alessandra at IOA/USO today. Yes Soren was able to earn both his Dueling Dragons credits as well as Mythos. As always, look at the pictures for all the details. Check out our new hats. Oh yeah, this is what the station looks like. A train heading back into the station. The very short dark ride section of the ride. McBean sure made a lot of cash. See, look at the new track. Actually the train goes pretty fast at this point of the ride. The Hulk looks really different from up here. Weee....These trains are so smooth and quiet. See, it is waiting for us. You ready for the new ride Soren? Burt Reynolds came up to check out the new ride. Yes, they are powered. These new Mack trains were pretty cool. Waiting in line. Original caption, I know. They had some other thing in the queue as well. You can read the Sneetches story while waiting in line. What was the original name of the ride again? The line was not too bad, but it was early in the day. This is the name of the new ride. Oh there it is. Yes, this is still around. They have been spruced up, as well as the entire Seuss Landing. Awwww....I missed you guys. Maybe so... I wonder if IOA has a new ride this year...? Looks like its going to be your lucky day Soren. Hey look who I ran into. This one is for Julie. They now have a sign on it. I think it opens in another month or so. Yeah, this took a little while.
Erik Johnson
Ok Dragons time. See, just like the coasters. Yeah, two new credits! Unlike poor Soren, I was in the shade. Yes, we sat out here for about 10 minutes or so. That would be the back row of fire. Soren liked it so much, we decided to go ride the other side next. Ok, front row of Ice first. Though its not as good as the 2nd row in N.G.T.'s opinion. Soren trying to research which side to ride first. This was the first time I have seen them do this for the queue. Hey lets check out Dueling Dragons.
Erik Johnson
More Pictures, now with Mythos! Here come the superheroes. Hulk had a 60min wait for most of the day, we decided to pass this time. These $1.75 items are all that is left on the dessert menu. All full. "Probably some crappy airplane food or peanuts." "I wonder what Robb ate today?" Balsamic chicken for evereyone. Soren just discovered the concept of "free refills" Hey, is that free food on that table? As soon as well walked in, IOA looked like this outside. Well, this is back on the menu. What should we eat....any idea? We are ready for some food! Mythos time. Guy would be proud of Soren. While we did not ride Jurassic Park, (60 min wait), we did play with the dinosaurs. Water tunnel! Time to go face to face with The Fury.
Erik Johnson
Ok onto Universal. Thank you, we had fun. Page two. Wait times 20 minutes before park closing. Pretty cool at night. Back over to IOA. Donkeys! Shrek 4-D was next, after Twister. Got to do the Mummy signature pose. Mummy is always fun. Jaws has yet again been defeated. Time to board the boat. Sharkey is the one on the right. Sorry Elissa. Yep, individual lap bars and no seatbelts. See something different about the restraints? The rain came out of nowhere, so we rode MiB again. Men in Black's Sad and Pathetic line. 10-15 minutes sure beats 75 minutes. Hurry up with the launch! The bladder can not hold 3 gallons of Coke. Soren learns something else about free refills. Watch out for muggers in New York City. Anyone home? Sad and Pathetic line for Mummy. We went back later in the day. Jimmy Neutron says hello. Yeah, we made it to Universal. Homer
Sounds like you and Soren had a bitchin' time at IOA/USF. And that Jaws picture gave me the greatest idea for an avatar...
Tömmioh
Great TR!! Many good photos, looks like you all had a really good time. It was nice to see some Seuss landing photos, because I haven't seen so many yet.
socalMAN123
Great pictures Erik! Soren finally got his Dueling Dragons credits, eh? I thought maybe I would get them before he would (Orlando Trip in August). Looks like you guys had fun and it is gonna be awesome to be out in your neck of the woods this August. ---Brent

Imhotep
Sorry I missed you guys, EJ! And fri my cell died so I couldnt call you (I was taking too many pics with it). Oh well , maybe next time! When we rode jaws our 'actor' cursed twice.. He dropped the s bomb, and said damn once when his shot 'missed' the shark. It was weird, because the whole boat was looking at eachother like "are they allowed to say that?" and a few people seemed a little upset about it (understandably, there were alot of kids on our boat). It was weird, out of the hundereds of times Ive rode jaws I never really expected that to happen. At least it was something new!!
BeemerBoy
Nice pics, Erik. I've got a couple questions for you. What time did the park actually close off the queue lines? And secondly, although this is a bit picky, is there not a spelling error somewhere in the DD "treasures" queue sign? Would it not be "adventurers" rather than "adventures"? Anywho, still a nice touch for the greatest queue line in the world.
Jon Sabo
Awesome PTR! Looks like typical FL weather....rain comes when it wants too..lol *I love the idea how IOA actually had the Suess ride que rails all "curvy" to incorporate the same theming as the rest of the park with "no straight lines". It would have quite possibly looked wierd if they kept the que-railings straight (if that makes any sense..lol). Looks like it was a fun day, except the wait times. *How did the DD paint job look? Erik Johnson
The have really cleaned up Dueling Dragons. Not only did they repaint them so they actually look red and blue again, they cleaned up the queue area as well as the grounds underneath the coasters themselves. Looks quite nice! Erik Johnson
I am not really sure when they close of the queue lines for the rides. I think it really depends how full it is.
Hattuchili
Hey guys, I am sorry but the last days were really busy and I had no time to post the pictures! First of all I want to thank Erik for the great time we had and for posting the pictures! We really had a good time! It is sad, but in the last weeks I had not really the time to post something on the boards, but I am looking forward to post more in the future! Anyway, up to the pictures! It was a good day, I got my last credits in the park and I had a great lunch at Mythos! --Sören Before we enjoyed this nice desert and then walked home! One nice picture of this nice area! We wanted to ride Hulk, but the waiting time was to long! Next we walked to my office to check my mails... Erik also liked the ride! Hehe After that we walkked to Universal Studios and rode MIB Then we got this awesome food! "Robb, I love the Balsamic Chicken!" ... what was not bad, becasue otside was it raining like hell. Erik was really hungry, but we had to wait... ... yes, Mythos! After that we were hungry and walked to this place... Next we went to Duelling Dragons! It was a nice and different few from that attraction! Then we all rode the new attraction there! We were in the park and this was the first guy we ran into...
