Gutterflower
A bit more than a year and a half ago while i was living in thailand i got to visit Dreamworld for the day. the parks packed into a small strip of land outside of bangkok but has a lovely atmosphere and some nice suprises. Rides of note are the 2 vekoma coasters and a nice variety of flat rides. Although the park doesnt contain that many rides there are plenty of odditys to keep you amused. When we arrived we caught the sky ride to the back of the park in order to beat the crowds. only to find you cant get off at the other end and it sends you back to the front.... Doh. There is some good themeing on some the rides as well anyway i shall let the pictures talk for themselves One the way home we passed the giant phallic symbol that is victory monument The park has plenty of little things to keep you amused A not so good vekoma. The indoor "space mountain" was smooth but a bit dull. Considering it was almost 100degrees this guy must hate his job. I believe this ride used to reside in Australia. Its actually pretty good fun. The parks main attraction. a suspended coaster full of Vekoma goodness. this well themed rapids ride contained a deer that once again peed on you on the way round Even the trees were friendly Possibly the strangest thing ive seen at a park yet. this dog had a sensor that made it pee on you as you walked past The parks top spin. THe park was so empty we got a quadruple cycle... not to be done on a full stomach the parks short but pretty cool splash boat ride. After arriving an hour early there wasnt much to do except take pictures of the gate.
Jeezus Juice
No way, you have GOT to post more pictures of this place! Is this the park that has the "Space Mountain" in a similer looking building to the disney one? I love the "Small World" entry gate, and those palm trees we're way creepy. -Don
Ed
Alice in Wonderland type fences by the dogs... How many people more can copy a bit of Disney into their parks... Lovely pics.
Erik Johnson
Cool, I always love these Photo TRs of parks I have never seen or heard before. That Space Mountain Vekoma rip-off coaster looks just like the one I remember riding in Taiwan at Windows On China.
Hattuchili
LOL, the entry looks really a bit like Disney´s small world! But nice pictures from the park! --Sören
Paul_Hollibone
You are correct Gutterflower. The Suspended Vekoma Coaster, and the Indoor Space Mountain vekoma coaster were both Australian Citizens. In that, I am saying they used to be aussie coasters. They originated (along with now what is Zoomerang at Visionland) at the 1988 World Expo Space Park in Brisbane. That park closed about a year after the world expo closed, and those 2 rides went over to Dreamworld in Thailand, and the Titan (Vekoma Boomerang) went to Wonderland as Demon, and is now Zoomerang at Visionland. Just some knowledge for you!
DerekRx
Awesome pictures of a park I never heard of. Some parts looked really nice, others looked kinda scary and creepy (like the ground around the peeing dogs). A park with 2 Vekomas AND golden showers at not 1 but 2 different places, now THAT is a theme park, folks!
pgathriller
All small parks should look like that. I loved the scenery!
dubaidave
Woa, Great to see these pictures. I went to that park about 2 years ago but my camera was overexposing everthing. I really enjoyed it. thanks again
