robbalvey Posted September 18, 2005 Share Posted September 18, 2005 (edited) Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you some of the photos taken from the meet at SFMM and the DVD party last night. Our day at SFMM was really great! One of the best visits I've had at the park in a long time. The day started out with X, which we all nearly left the line because they didn't get it opened until about 10:25, but I'm glad we stayed because we all agreed that it was one of the best rides on X since it opened. It wasn't as smooth as then, but it certainly was better, no matter what train you were on. Weird, but good! The rest of the day we did a lap around the park, some of the group hitting Scream!, Riddler's, Batman, Gold Rusher, Ninja, Superman, Goliath, etc. We even took over the Buccaneer and Chair swings at one point! It was a great day with light crowds and lots of great people to hang out with. Then it was off to our apartment complex rec room and theater for dinner and a movie! My hot wings (Fire and Ice sauce), Pizza, Dippin Dots, and a few special dessert items were served! We had two showings of the new Europe DVD which seemed to go over quite well (looking forward to hear all of your reviews) some coaster trivia for those of us who put on our "geek hats" and we even played the Thunder Dolphin ring toss game. Overall, it was a great day and a fantastic night! Thanks to everyone who showed up and made it awesome! Ok, onto some photos! During the day at SFMM we played a "Photo Scavenger Hunt" game where everyone needed to take some specific photos of stuff. We also will have a "Best Photo Of The Day" contest that all of YOU will be able to vote on. The winner of each photo game will get a free copy of "Coaster Expedition Volume 6: European Extravaganza!" For the scavenger hunt, here is what we were looking for: o A Troll o Paris Hilton Wannabe o Mr. Six o Foghorn Leghorn o Coaster Operating 3 Trains o A Rodent o Robb Acting Silly o Funniest Stuffed Animal Prize o Most Expensive Single Food Item o Best Souvenir If you took photos for the scavenger hunt, please post them in this thread! For your "Best Photo Of The Day" contest, email what you think were your best three photos to: robbalvey@themeparkreview.com and I'll post the photos and everyone on the board can vote! And now...on to some of our photos! We didn't end up getting that many from the party since we were kind of busy 8) but hopefully other people got some good photos..... "Be sure to eat the heads first!" Thanks again to everyone who came to the meet and party. And please be sure to post your photos! Antonio and his family made us some awesome desserts! Wes decides to call his ride on Thunder Dolphin a credit. And Jeff Johnson is jealous! At the party, once again the "drum game" is a HIT! Next up...it's Goliath, we had fun, but it's not Walibi World. Wes tries his "signature move" on the chair swings. It was take over time on Buccaneer. Giovanni has his first ride on Ninja. And he loved it! Elissa rides with her "boys" (how's it going, Wes?) A couple of sexy hunks on Scream! We started our day off at X, which ran really good that day! SFMM wasn't completely terrible, the party was a lot of fun, the DVD turned out great (especially Joey and the monkey bars), and who can't enjoy watching USC score a bazillion points in one quarter? Anyway, just wanted to say THANK YOU to Robb and Elissa for organizing all of this and (more importantly) feeding us.
