Philrad71
This one was really good too...still in Fargo at a place called JL Beers. The Chili Popper burger is what I ordered on this coooold winter night! Big draft selections are good! Burger with freshly made chips with a chipotle mayo dipping sauce Great burger!! Nrthwnd
^ It's nice that they make, sell, and have a separate listing(s) for their (homemade?) peanut butter!
bert425
too much bacon on that Chili Popper Burger for my tastes (it would overpower the green chile flavor). . but the rest of the ingredients on it sound really appetizing.
Nrthwnd
Two burgers sold at last summer's PNE in Vancouver... It's a Cactus Burger! ...and a Maple Bacon Donut Burger. Yum! Thanks Droolius.com for the photo.
Philrad71
Okay, I admit that I have been a slacker with my lack of posts on here lately, so it's time to stop with THAT nonsense! Time to get caught up on my burger pics! This was at a restaurant just off of I-70 in Colorado. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the place, the town...only that this burger was delicious!!! I do recall that it had pickled onions and hatch chile peppers on it....YUM!!! This next one is somewhat local...at Firebirds steakhouse in Erie, PA. While Michael and I had been here in the past and had awesome steaks and service, this 'Durango burger" topped with pepper jack cheese, fried onions, pickles and a roasted garlic ranch dressing was overcooked and somewhat dry. Not bad, but I think that I'll stick with the steak or filet next time. I ordered it medium rare. I made this beauty last week. Caramelized onions and mushrooms with romaine and homemade blue cheese that my friend's son in law made himself on his farm in Colorado! Needless to say, this is probably one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten! Not to gloat, but that was just the perfect combo of ingredients...SO GOOD!!!! Nrthwnd
^ Very very nice ones, Phil! I'm working up to one of the ones that Belgian Fries (my go-to Poutine Palace!) offers. A big BIG burger with cheese and bacon on it, along with a good sized portion of their awesome fries, too! http://www.belgianfries.ca And I get nearly $7 knocked off of it, with a filled-in Belgian Fries Poutine/Fries Card. And I already have two cards filled up. Stay tuned...
Philrad71
You're lucky to have that place close to you, Bill...those fries look amazing!
Nrthwnd
Last Saturday, which was my 66th Birthday that day, I decided we didn't need to go out BIG for an expensive meal. Why not, use the Vera's Burgers Groupon coupon I bought a few months' back? That said, it was due to expire the very - next - day. Sunday the 31st. Good timing, huh? Burgers were awesome as always (we've been there before), and David could have an alcoholic beverage if he wanted to, since we walked there a few blocks from home. But he was more interested in the Free Refills! drink offer, with your burgers. So he went with that. And we ordered a Side of "Half & Half", 1/2 good Russet Fries and 1/2 Nice and sweet Onion R-ing-s. Here's our photos of our awesome meal there! http://www.verasburgershack.com/ David doing the Ordering Thing. Wider shot of the front of Vera`s. First of three (?) beverages. Me and my Lager. It was nice. David's ~ A BBQ Burger He's enjoying what he's got. So gross of me. I had the Cajun Burger. And it was soooooo good. As were the fries and ri-ng-s. He couldn't finish it, so Take Away! On the way home, we walked by these nice Cherry Blossom trees in flower. And a fairly obstructed view of the twin mtns. over that-a-way.
Philrad71
Looks great, Bill...and Happy belated birthday! Wow...the cherry blossoms are beautiful! Another few weeks here.
ytterbiumanalyst
Happy birthday! We have one of those cherry trees. For about a week, it's the greatest sight, then it decides it's pretty good with being normal the rest of the year. Gotta enjoy it while you can! CaptainUnknown
A double pattied-burger using a chocolate-frosted Long John as the bun and a lot of pre-melted shredded cheese I wanted out of the fridge. This was more an experiment to find out what I could do with a burger. It didn't work the best.
Nrthwnd
^ That looks totally wrong. But hey, a burger's a burger......right? Yes? No?
Philrad71
What the hell is a chocolate frosted Long John? Sounds and looks disgusting. LOL
Nrthwnd
^ This is a Chocolate Frosted Long John donut. Which looks a lot better than that other one, lol. And still sounds Totally WRONG for any kind of burger. I hope he learned his lesson about that. The Long John is a bar-shaped, yeast risen pastry often coated with glaze or icing. In some parts of the United States, such as the southern Indiana region, unfilled bar doughnuts are called Long Johns and their filled counterparts are called éclairs. Nrthwnd
My BIG Belgian Fries ULTIMATE Burger! I'd put this off for some time. Mainly, because the burgers I've seen in the past, from my Poutine Palace (my term), were usually stacked so high, I couldn't imagine eating them, even with a knife and fork. Much less wrapping my little mouth around one. But - yay - the new "Ultimate Burger" they're now offering, is a lot easier to handle,...and eat too! I also used one of my filled up BF cards, so $5 was knocked off the total price, which was nice. It's a really really good burger, I must say. So here's the pix to show it.... http://belgianfries.ca/ Where I'm headed. The full menu. Many, many poutines to choose from. And I have tried them all! The Burgers List. I picked the top one, with bacon instead of a sunny side up egg. Waiting for my buzzer to go off. Interior shot. How Commercial Drive looks, from my table. Noted. The kitchen is in there, somewhere. My buzzer tells me it's ready! And ahead of somebody else's order, too! How it all looks. The fries dip is Curry-Chutney mayo. Quite a nice dip. Cute touch. I liked it. And kept it. OMG! Thick, juicy, and no additional condiments needed! More burger than bun! I will definitely get this again. (o:
CaptainUnknown
I pre-melted about 60% of a bag of cheese and then piled it on the burger. This thing was so very greasy and I wish I had gotten a picture of the cheese stretch from my first bite.
CaptainUnknown
Double post, but I had to post this burger to celebrate the start of summer by breaking out the grille and doing something stupid. I present to you: the s'more burger. AKA the: "are you pregnant?" Burger. Topped with chocolate and fire-roasted marshmallows.

CaptainUnknown
Apologies for the double post, but I had to redeem myself for the abomination that was the s'mores burger. While on vacation in Branson, my unit had a grill on the deck overlooking Table Rock Lake, so of course we had to do some grilling. And here is my result: A double cheddar burger with bacon weave. Nrthwnd
^ That's cool, I forgive you for the s'mores. And that looks like quite the burger balancing act, heh. Nice plate, too. (And the top of that bun, reminds me of the top of a pumpkin! Wierd.)
