[RCT3] Chiapas inspired Attraction

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!!

I am currently creating a 'Chiapas Inspired Water Coaster Type Attraction' The attraction is using the 'Atlantica Super Splash' CTR and contains 4 drops. The largest drop is 90ft and has a huge splashdown finale. I drew inspiration from the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland, Chiapas from Phantasialand, and I also grabbed inspiration from Mexico and Spain for the architecture around the area of the attraction. The ride design is currently completed and I am very happy with it. The attraction has a large backwards section with two of the drops in that section. The station is currently being built and the area around the queue is complete. The attraction has a stand by queue, and a fastpass/single rider queue for busier days. The attraction also has a small little Mexican restaurant if you get hungry during your visit. The restaurant is right next to the splashdown finale and offers great views of the mountain.

Hey everyone!

I have worked a little on the attraction and I am almost done with the station. This station was incredibly challenging for me to design for some reason, and I don't know why it was so difficult. All I have to do now is the roof and some minor exterior details. I hope to work on the splashdown area after I complete the station, then move onto the first scene of the actual ride. In the picture below, you can see the stand by queue, and boarding area, as well as the fastpass/single rider boarding area.

NOTE: this picture is before I completed the detailing for the interior of the station.

Hey Everyone!!

I have been working on the ride recently and I have finished the station and first scene of the ride. I like the station, although its not my favorite. I also extended the splashdown area, however it is incomplete so you won't see any pictures of that part of the ride in this update. I still have a lot of foliage to grow and a lot of facades around the area to construct, but I am working on it. Some things I want to complete in the next update is the first 2 scenes and the splashdown area. I also hope to start on the small city square right outside of the station where you exit.

The station is complete and I hope to construct a little city square where you exit the station.

One of the boats coming out of the darkness after you board the ride. After the tunnel, you enter a small river, which is the first scene of the ride. There is still a lot of foliage to be grown in and some minor details.

Hey Everyone!!

I have been working on the attraction and I have decided that the small city square outside the exit to the ride will have a broadway still show (or at least theater) and the show will correspond to the themed area. The City Square will also contain markets which will sell authentic Arabian and Mexican food and drinks. I have finished the station and the first two scenes, and I have also finished the splashdown finale. I am also very happy with the first two scenes because the foliage has finally grown in. I still have one or two facades I have to construct around the final part of the queue. The attraction still has no name, but it will be holding a very early preview day for the construction workers and park workers.

Hey everyone!

Ive been working on the attraction, however it is taking a bit longer than expected. I have finished 5ish sections of the ride. That might sound like a lot but it is only about 45 seconds of the entire ride sooooooo yeah. Anyways, i'm very happy with the outcome of the first 5 scenes of the attraction and I am still working on the ride. I have still not started work on the exit area which will contain a broadway style show as well as a few markets selling goods. The first temple scene is complete, and it took a very long time to complete but it's finally finished. Although its not the most elaborate temple, i'm happy with it. I still have to construct the backstage area and let a few trees grow in but other than that, the first temple scene is complete.

Right after the first lifthill, you do a 180 degree and then a 90 degree left turn where you wait for the available block ahead, inside the temple.

Hey Everyone!!

I have been working a little bit on the theater that will house the show near the exit of the attraction, and I am so far, very happy with it. I do need to go back and change the textures of the stage, but I am happy with it so far. I have all the seats for the theater complete, and I have started on the stage, and the entrance area out side of the theater. In total, the theater has 5,232 seats, and some of the seats are fastpass based. Some of the lights in the theater have been placed, and are complete, and the base of the stage is complete. In total, the entire theater is estimated to cost around $5,000,000 and will have room for expansion if the public demand for it is high enough. The stage itself is constructed so that the show can change from one show to another in a fairly quick manner, without having to completely demolish the theater and rebuild it. Meaning, one day you can have a show thats themed to a western bank robbery, and then in just a few weeks time, you can have a musical.

The show will not be a musical, at least, not when it opens.

Hey Everyone!!

I have been working on the attraction, as well as some other parts of the park, and also some other projects in Rct3. I have finally come up with a name for the attraction, and even though its not the best name for the attraction, it tells the story of the attraction, just in the title.

El Dorado's Curse, is an attraction that revolves around you, and 15 other guests venturing into an abandoned temple, only to find out that the mighty god of the temple, El Dorado, put a curse on the temple for all who enter it. The only way to break the curse, is to jump from the top of the highest mountain in all the land. You must explore the temples and try and escape the curse, while overcoming unexpected troubles and problems.

The rock work on the mountain is about halfway complete, and i'm so far happy with it. I have also worked on the theater some more, and I have finished the entire seating area, and started on constructing the walls, and interior details. I have also worked on the path layout around the entrance area of the park. I have actually changed where you will 'enter the park' and I have also been working on other projects such as a firework show and a water show (not for this park) El Dorado's Curse is still not open to the public, but it did have a preview day for all the staff of the park, and got great reviews. The staff really loved the attraction, and its story.

As the guests enter the first temple, this is where you will be casted with a curse, as you are sent whirling backwards out of the temple.

After the preview day the path layout in front of the mountain was extended, to hold more crowds.

Hey Everyone!!

I have been working on the park for El Dorado's Curse, however not that much on the ride itself. I have been improving little parts of the ride, and letting some foliage grow in. I have been working on a new part of the park, which is the parking lot and tram to the park, because I felt like this would have been a good way to use the extra space in the back of the park. The parking lot, for the most part, is finished. I have a large parking garage, as well as two large handicap parking lots, and two medium sized parking lots for overflow. The trams are between both of the handicap parking lots, so the handicapped guests don't have to travel far to get to the tram. The parking lot is not themed to the park, but just a modern/english parking lot with lots of foliage. The trams come from a defunct company that was called 'Disney Transportation Services' which have been transporting guests in other parks and resorts for more than 30 years.

Those boxes ended up having firework mortars in them! Looks like this park will be getting a fireworks show.

The tram stop. You take a tram from the parking lot to the actual park, then a different one from the park to the parking lot.

An overview of the parking lots and tram route. The tram route is not finished, there is still a lot of foliage to be grown in. I also need to add a lot of fences in the parking lot.

I also added a few extra lights and a small control booth inside the theater.
