Jealous of people in the park today... Cat Cora was there apparently and she apparently is awesome and let people take pictures with her. She's not my favorite Iron Chef, but still pretty damn awesome.

Back to Disney stuff. Random sources seem to think that as of the end of this weekend the "soft opening" period will begin over the weekend, but are likely to start randomly next week. I wonder if they will do something when soundsational soft opens? That makes sense to me... but not for sure or anything. I have heard GREAT things from people on twitter, though... so I am VERY excited!

Same thing for Disneyland as well. The line looked about 45 minutes long, so it's not that bad.
Fry: Uh, is there a human doctor around?
Dr. Zoidberg: Young lady, I am an expert on humans. Now pick a mouth, open it and say "brglgrglgrrr"!

I got to ride it 5 times yesterday and absolutely loved it! The longest I waited was around 25 minutes, and the shortest wait was about 5 minutes. They did a truly awesome upgrade to the attraction. I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

Ok I'm a week late, but here are some photos from the Star Tours mall tour when it was in Tampa last weekend:

You could get your photo with C-3PO and R2D2. The cool thing was 3PO actually talked to you and it sounded JUST like him!

Jedi Mickey was out (and yes that's my Duffy he's holding... in his Jedi costume... people were going NUTS over my Duffy)

We got free special ear hats!

You could then get your photo taken behind a green screen. They gave you a special PhotoPass card so you can add backgrounds from your home computer.

Princess Leia Minnie was out while Jedi Mickey took a break (Mickey was the top half of each hour and Minnie was the bottom half of each hour)

We got free photo prints of our pics with Mickey and Minnie!

Did I mention everyone was just going nuts over my Duffy? They simply adored him.

I got to ride Star Tours twice today at Disneyland and I truly have to say that it was money well spent. Substantial story improvements, great visuals, and amazing simulators. These things move like I never thought a simulator could. It's one of my new favorite rides at Disneyland or Hollwood Studios. With 54 different ride combos, it won't get old soon!

The queue hasn't seen the changes that the ride istelf has. It still a fun and intereting line to stand in, but it seems like they could have changed it more, overall great though.

I can't wait to ride it again!!!

^I rode Star Tours today and I agree with everything you said. I just wanted add that the ride is very short though! about 3 minutes compared to the originals 4 minutes. It seems extremely rushed, But overall B+

Got to ride Star Tours at DHS today, and I have to agree with everyone so far that it is incredibly well done. Rode it 11 times and got to see every segment of footage available for the program. The 3D effects were amazing and probably the smoothest 3D on any theme park attraction I've seen, not to mention the ride vehicles move like a dream. 11 weren't enough, I can't wait to get back on this thing! :mickey:

*Edit*
I am terrified of how the opening weekend is going to look for this thing. They have started hanging tarps up over the street in New York to house the overflow queue... :?r
Just keep swimming...

Does Jeff Johnson count this donkey as a credit?

Both me and my wife got picked for the AP preview next week, so we can get a few rides in before the GP mobs it.
