Our final day at the Tokyo Disney Resort was spent at Tokyo Disneyland...
1.JPG
The Tokyo Disney Resort Monorail line is incredibly convenient and a great way to start off our final Disney day!
2.JPG
One more polite morning stampede!
3.JPG
I made it a point to check out Splash Mountain thanks to its unique queue...
4.JPG
The inside is pretty much the same as the one in Florida...
5.JPG
Which isn't a bad thing.
6.JPG
Everything is satisfactual!
7.JPG
I got a little wet.
8.JPG
I absolutely adore this castle.
9.JPG
Toontown is just as awesome in Tokyo as it is in California!
10.JPG
I tried the Shrimp & Egg Spring Roll... Not my favorite snack of the trip but not bad either.
11.JPG
Just as fun here!
14.JPG
Goofy's Paint 'n' Play House is kind of like a cross between Toy Story Mania and Colortopia (at Epcot).
15.JPG
You use a Toy Story Mania-style gun to spray paint at the walls...
16.JPG
The entire house transforms by the end of the experience!
17.JPG
It was neat to see Mickey's house since Florida's ToonTown has long since been gone.
18.JPG
I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to experience another Haunted Mansion!
19.JPG
It looks very familiar!
20.JPG
Fanta Melon is on tap throughout the resort and I love it!
21.JPG
I'd dreamed of this moment for so long.
22.JPG
And the curry did not disappoint! It was one of my favorite quick service meals of the trip!
23.JPG
Mochi bites!
24.JPG
We absolutely loved this version of Big Thunder Mountain!
25.JPG
And the close call with the Western River Railroad is a nice touch!
26.JPG
It is very neat that they actually give you a map to use when exploring Tom Sawyer Island that you can take with you after your visit.
27.JPG
And in English!
28.JPG
The extra thematic elements along the Rivers of America are definitely appreciated!
29.JPG
Fort Sam Clemens is open in Tokyo... It doesn't exist in Florida and it hasn't been open in California for decades. This was surreal to actually be able to walk into...
30.JPG
They even have a Canteen open with snacks available to purchase!
31.JPG
They even have the Indian Village!
32.JPG
The Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes were another great experience!
33.JPG
We had to see Happiness is Here one more time during our trip...
34.JPG
Such a fun parade!
35.JPG
So many options!
36.JPG
MELON BREAD!!!
37.JPG
More unique entertainment in the parks!
38.JPG
I love this.
39.JPG
The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is grand as can be.
40.JPG
This atrium is gorgeous!
41.JPG
The Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo Disneyland Hotel monorail station.
42.JPG
Bon Voyage gifts...
43.JPG
We visited during the Tanabata Days Festival, where all guests are given the opportunity to write their wish on a card...
44.JPG
That wish can then be tied to one of the park's Tanabata posts.
45.JPG
I love that the Japanese love Disney parks music so much that these CDs are still sold en masse.
46.JPG
More redemption games that even if you lose, you win a pin.
47.JPG
So awesome seeing this while on the Western River Railroad.
48.JPG
49.JPG
The traditional Frontierland cabin and it isn't on fire...
50.JPG
Another Indian village...

(Continued)
51.JPG
The way the Western River Railroad weaves through the park is very different than the railroads found in the other Disney parks.
52.JPG
But it was a pleasant surprise to find the Primeval World Diorama recreated here just like it is found in Disneyland.
53.JPG
Shades of Ellen's Energy Adventure.
54.JPG
We loved Tokyo's Jungle Cruise!
55.JPG
We went back and rode Big Thunder Mountain several more times before the end of the day.
56.JPG
The new Camp Woodchuck Kitchen features waffle sandwiches and this one didn't disappoint!
57.JPG
Did I mention I love this castle?
58.JPG
Tokyo's Tomorrowland featured the vintage Star Jets. The closed permanently only a few months after our visit to make way for an expanded Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland.
59.JPG
An alternate universe Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.
60.JPG
In case you were wondering what the menu at a standard Tokyo Disneyland quick service venue is like.
61.JPG
No Sonny Eclipse here.
62.JPG
Sadly we didn't get to ride during our visit but it was neat to see.
63.JPG
I don't remember the Star Jets when they operated in Florida, so it was nice to see something so differently themed when compared to the modern Astro Orbiter.
64.JPG
And we're moving on...
65.JPG
The walls were already up along a portion of Tomorrowland and Toontown to allow for the ongoing expansion work to continue.
66.JPG
Sadly Space Mountain was not open during our visit.
67.JPG
More unique performers throughout the park!
68.JPG
The classic Tomorrowland aesthetic is completed by the more modern paint job. I'd be totally ok with this setup being brought back to Florida.
69.JPG
Time to see Dreamlights one more time!
70.JPG
The floats are insanely impressive...
71.JPG
And they can do cool things like this!
72.JPG
You can tell which floats have been refreshed recently.
73.JPG
I love this Pete's Dragon float way more than the one that ran with the original Main Street Electrical Parade.
74.JPG
The Genie still has the most impressive float of the parade.
75.JPG
So many forms.
76.JPG
So many characters.
77.JPG
Even a nod to the original character design concept when the Genie was green instead of blue.
78.JPG
A newer float...
79.JPG
Another newer float.
80.JPG
The finale of Dreamlights is overwhelmingly beautiful.
81.JPG
The river boat float starts in black & white and transforms into full color along the parade route.
82.JPG
Gorgeous.
83.JPG
Inspired by the classic Disney ride "it's a small world."
85.JPG
And now its time to say goodbye...
86.JPG
To all our company...
87.JPG
MIC---See ya real soon!
88.JPG
I ended up using the parkhopper access to go back into Tokyo DisneySea one more time for some merchandise and photos.
89.JPG
Saying goodbye wasn't easy.
90.JPG
The resort is so beautiful at any time of day.
91.JPG
A look at the construction of the new Beauty and the Beast-inspired expansion coming to Tokyo DisneySea.
93.JPG
Even more construction.
94.JPG
For our final Disney day of the trip we stopped into Ikspiarai for lunch...
95.JPG
Ikspiriari Kitchen provided us another incredible meal.
100.JPG
Coca Cola Plus sounds like a unique concept, though I don't see it coming stateside.
101.JPG
The (awesome) view from our hotel room at the Sheraton Tokyo Bay.
102.JPG
A look at the entry plaza for the Disney Store location at Ikspiari.
103.JPG
The Maihama Theater used to house the Cirque du Soleil show Zed. The show closed permanently shortly after the earthqueak as attendance/ticket sales had reportedly declined.
104.JPG
Ikspiriari has a really unique corridor near the movie theater with these indoor facades.
105.JPG
A nice touch!
96.JPG
One more sushi bundle before we move on.
97.JPG
The monorail was themed to Nemo & Friends SeaRider during our visit.
98.JPG
Time to say...
99.JPG
Goodbye Tokyo Disney!
