Out of the parks I've been to, I'd say Cedar Point has the best 1-2 punch with Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance (sorry Maverick fans) followed by Kings Island with Mystic Timbers and Diamondback. Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags New England, and Kentucky Kingdom also have great 1-2 punches.
Top 10 Steel: 1. Fury 325 2. Steel Vengeance 3. I305 4.Twisted Timbers 5. Wicked Cyclone 6. Millennium Force 7. Skyrush 8. Iron Rattler 9.Goliath SFOG 10. Lightning Run
Top 10 Wood: 1. El Toro 2. Lightning Rod 3. Mystic Timbers 4. The Voyage 5. The Beast 6. Goliath SFGAM 7. Shivering Timbers 8. American Thunder 9. Hades 360 10. Prowler Coaster Count: 207
Skyrush & Lightning Racer (one's crazy, the other's fun -- I love 'em both) Magnum & Millennium Force (iconic record-breakers and faces of the franchise) Dragster & Millennium Force (my pick)
With all of the one-trick pony talk, Kingda Ka being a little bit bigger, downtime, and having Maverick/Steel Vengeance there, I feel like the most exhilarating ride in the park has become a little bit underrated. Dragster is it still the only coaster that makes me say "gulp," and then I giggle like an RCT peep at the exit and run right back in line.
