robbalvey
Nothing has been announced (that I've seen) but if you look at the Adventure City Website Rides and Attractions page (http://adventurecity.com/rides-and-attractions/default.aspx) and hover over Tree-Top Racers it says New Family Coaster coming for 2013. Anybody hear anything about what this could be? Edited April 3, 2015 by larrygator
Sir Clinksalot
Just heard from the park, Tree Top Racers last day was Labor Day Monday. I never got the credit.
Jew
^Bummer. Was actually a decent ride. Hopefully it finds another home (maybe they had to sell/trade it in to finance the new ride), as there are not many of those mice left! Glad I got the credit. chickenbowl
My list of defunct credits has grown a ton this year, glad I got the credit. It was an interesting coaster, I mean you're in a padded bathtub that no children can even see over, it was truly bizarre (unique?). Anyway, I wonder what the new coaster will be... cal1br3tto
Ah, too bad about Tree Top Racers. Not only was it adorable, but I actually found it pretty exciting since it was one of my first mice, and only my second classic model. At least it has three remaining siblings I could return to if so desired. I would be happy to come check out the new ride sometime, especially since the park's enthusiast-friendliness is pretty well confirmed these days. Yay for more California credits! dippindotsguy8
Dangit! I live like 20 minutes down the road and hadn't gotten around to getting the credit. If I knew, I could have just run over there sooner
Top Thrill Dragster
Glad I got the credit in 2006.
Wes
TTR was fun but I'm surprised it ran as long as it did...that thing was scary rickety back in 2000. Will be interesting to see what opens in its place.
Sir Clinksalot
"Screamscape Sources" have confirmed it, must be true. http://www.screamscape.com/html/smaller_parks.htm
Rollercoaster Rider
Well the Considering the park size and probable budget, I'm gonna guess a B&M 500ft Tall Wing-Walker Coaster. Just Kidding, Maybe a Zyklon or Galaxy Type Coaster. Heck maybe even a new wild mouse.
chadster
My two experiences at this park have been positive. The grounds were kept well, the rides and themes were nice and kid appropriate and they seemed to pack in the families and parties. Even in February at 8 at night the place was busy. Perhaps my visits were the exception to the rule and the wait for TTR was about 25 minutes, but I have no doubt this business model works. Replacing a worn out ride with a newer, 'kid' friendly attraction, probably isn't such a bad idea.
gisco
I'm a little bummed I never got the credit. The one day I went down there it was raining and didn't open.
6flagsbrad
Could this be Knott's new mouse coaster next year?
cfc
I'm a little bummed I never got the credit. The one day I went down there it was raining and didn't open. I never did either. Such is life.
robbalvey
I think this was one of those rides where people thought "Oh, it will ALWAYS be there..." so a lot of people either didn't bother or didn't put it high on their list.
Jew
^Definitely. I used to go to KBF every Friday with Dan for the Westcoaster updates, and it took us a few years before we decided to venture down the street to get the credit. Hopefully whatever replaces it will bring me back!
Rollercoaster Rider
I wonder if they're getting something like Wooden Warrior?
thestripedtaco
While it would be nice they don't seem to have enough room.
rcdude
Given Adventure City's demographic, I'm guessing this new coaster will be something like a new mouse (hopefully a better one than Tree Top Racers, which was just okay) or a Vekoma family coaster. Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll end up visiting this park again for the first time in over a decade (I used to visit two-three times per year when I was younger, but haven't been since 2000). The Bebes
Glad that The Bebes finally got around to it this summer after putting it off continually for the past few years. It was the LAST of the So-Cal credits that we got. And yeah, it was "unique".
Jew
I wonder if they're getting something like Wooden Warrior? If a wooden coaster gets built there, it would definitely go down as the world's most compact wooden coaster to fit in that footprint.
Voxelmatic
How do we know other rides are going to close around TTR? It is a possibility, and that would allow for a more unique ride.

DBru
^He's saying the spot that Tree Top Racers currently occupies is quite small, so we can infer that the coaster that will be taking its place will have to fit into that same small plot of land. Even still, fitting any size woodie into the space of a Miler mouse would be quite an accomplishment.
