Looks like the park is planning on a 2020 addition! A Facebook user commented on a post, asking about a 2020 addition, and the park said "stay tuned for an announcement." I wonder if it will be a family ride, thrill ride, water ride, or some kind of new exibit of some sort. Personally, I'd love to see a revamped Aquarium Dome. That attraction seems very dated, plus it has that abandoned arena and café. It'd be awesome to add some large tanks at the edge of the building with windows looking out into the park so that people will actually know that that building is an aquarium. They could convert the former arena room into a stingray touch pond attraction and it could provide another revenue stream by letting people buy food to feed the stingrays (like at my local aquarium). Then maybe turn half of that food service into a smaller coffee shop and the other half into another gift shop.
Either that, or I'd like to see a Giant Discovery over by where the topple tower was. Something eye catching that would bring in more guests.
Okay, either those two things, or I'd love to see a ropes course and zipline area with interactive experiences. Something like that, they could charge a small fee to do as another form of revenue.
I feel like they are either adding a couple waterslides to their Polar Splash area, or some sort of thrilling flat ride. I’m actually quite excited. I feel like their opening in May will be safe from the COVID-19 craze.
I'm hearing that since the owner died his wife took over and is looking to put a lot more investment into the park. Apparently the previous owner was very money conscious and never wanted to put money towards something that wasn't guaranteed to come back to him.
I would love to see a Skyline ride come in the next couple of seasons, or even a RMC Raptor. Build a couple more flats and increase the kids section. The park has a decent skeleton, it just requires some major renovations and a couple standout rides from CW & Darien Lake.
This is from Amusement Insiders on YouTube (I highly recommend going to his channel. He posts some AWESOME videos). Looks like the park is pushing forward with a larger investment for 2020! I’m excited to see what’s coming! Here’s a link to the video from Amusement Insiders: https://youtu.be/j_3L0oZtgHM It seems like they want a Skyline rides as well (to the person above me); they have a picture of that new Skyline concept in the thumbnail. Personally, I think they should stay away from Skyline since their two roller coasters have had massive downtime issues. After the fiasco of Topple Tower, I think they should stay away from risky rides.
