Did some other Cedar Fair park already steal the first RMC in the chain? I thought the KD fanbase would be all over this, saying next year will be the year... again

I think it's for April Fool's but I mean if it's closed all season they might as well redo the entire track and make it RMCed (at least I hope...).

Kᗪ Golden Years has stated that they created this as an April Fools joke with no affiliation with Kings ᗪominion.

I saw this picture and I was wondering: why are there so many extra connectors? I'm pretty sure they got rid of them but does anyone have an explanation for them?

^ Did that have anything to do with it being at GL? Did it have more supports being that it was built on the water?

^^When Dominator was at Geauga Lake, that side of the ride faced the lake, with that portion of the track over water. Those connections supported a catwalk so as to be able to reach that track, since it wasn't above land. KD probably left it off since the whole ride is accessible now.

^ could very well be. While I really enjoy this coaster, I still feel that the location at GL made the ride a bit superior. But I still love it.

Yes. You can see some of the catwalk in the photo here on the lower right. I took that pic in 2007, the parks last season.
