Man, it's hard to believe Kumba and Montu don't have longer lines in peak season. They're amazing good rides, IMHO much better than SheiKra (though that is a fun ride too).

Theyes are both high capacity rides so that's probably why. Also montu is more rerideable than kumba.

Which came first the turtle or the donkey?

It's a mixture of high capacity, taller height requirement, too intense for some people, and they're older rides.

When I grow up, I want to breed donkeys!

^Another big reason is that they are both tucked away at far ends of the park and Sheikra is smack on the midway in the middle. Montu's lines will go up next year probably with Cobra Curse attracting more flow into the area.
Remember: Get out there and RIDE!

Why do I still have a donkey title???

Both times I went to BGT, once in 2001, and again in 2010, it was either walk-on, or pretty much walk-on for Kumba. Considering how awesome that coaster it, I'd say it just might win the award for best return of investment of waiting time for a coaster - at least on a consistent basis! =)

Why don't they repaint, tether and rename Kumba and market it as a new attraction? It's really a shame such a great coaster is somehow ignored by the GP, even though I definitely love shorter line.

A lot of people have been saying it hurts their head. I don't know if they're getting a little ear-boxing or if they just can't handle the intensity of Kumba.

I have absolutely no problems with Kumba. Having been to BGT twice in the last year, my experience is that it was a little shaky after the MCBR, which I can understand might cause a little discomfort for some riders. But my overall impression is it that was running extremely well for a 20+ year old ride. My favorite ride at BGT!

So what is the deal with all the unused track connections under the turn out of the safety brake and into the transfer on Kumba?

Those are what hold up the catwalks.
