Not For Sale
Crowds were light at MK. Longest wait I saw was 30 for Space and Peter Pan. Onto the pictures! Will do. AK photos coming next. I don't know what this is and why it's in my park but I want it OUT. From the top of Rockettower Plaza. Yeah, it's actually called that. The early bird gets the worm. I decided to ride Astro Orbiter for the first time. It was neat. They're putting up the Christmas lights FOUR MONTHS EARLY. Ooh ooh ooh! Here's a neat arts and crafts idea. Make a flipbook out of this and the previous picture. Then kill yourself. Something something Jeff Johnson. This CM was rude. I reported her to guest relations. It's barely even haunted during the day. I've never seen these guys before. They were pretty good. If I said Michael Phelps was in this log, you wouldn't be able to prove me wrong. Did you mean SATISFACTORY? Skin me if ya like! I don't know if you guys noticed, but I'm not very good at this whole "photography" thing. Drunks. I heard a teacher invented it. Nerd shot! Brer Tree. I went to Splash Mountain. Only a 10 minute wait. They're doing construction on the Liberty Square bridge. It's causing some traffic issues. With the construction of the bridge and the Castle getting its lights, there's only 3 ways out of the hub. Tiny castle. The reporter punched him. There he is! I bet you expected a Michael Phelps picture to be next. You were wrong. Michael Phelps' police escort. There were like 12 of these. These too. I didn't realize these were actual rooms. For some reason they decided to hang up the Halloween decorations 2 months early. And here's proof. There were some camera crews there. I went through way too much trouble to get this shot. That's why this crappy picture is in the update. I started off the day with a trip to the Magic Kingdom parking lot.
Not For Sale
Light crowds at AK as well. Longest wait was 40 for Everest. I love AK's detail, so I included some really weird nerdy shots. Please put up with them. Bye bye! Yeah, I forgot how much it hurts. I rounded out the day with a SPIN on Primeval Whirl. GET IT?!?!?!? For some reason I have a fascination with making idiotic faces on Dinosaur. This ride is SO sponsored by Mcdonalds. If you understand why I said that, you win. By win I mean the opposite of win. Not our dino. Mystery crane at the end of Dinoland. Anyone know what this is for? Neat robot! You would think the ostriches would know not to go onto the road by now. Here's the other half of said giraffe. Here's half of a baby giraffe. Next up, Kilimanjaro Safaris. Here's a neat fact: I spelled that right. Tree through the trees! Hey, I didn't force you to read this (most likely). I have a weird fascination with the signs at AK also. There you are! You had me worried sick, bird on a stick! Oh biiiiird on a stiiiiick...bird on a stiiiiiiiick... On the hunt for the bird on a stick. There's something missing in this picture... Oh, there's also rides here. He bought me a frozen Vault. Hellllo nurse! Oh who's this I see? In Drinkwalla. They put random crap all around the park. It's great. World exclusive shot. Sweet. It's already off to a good start. Not For Sale
Today I went to AK with my roommate. Light crowds again, and heavy rain. Everything except Everest was a walk-on. Everest had a 30-40 minute wait. The Yeti was in B-mode today and yesterday. Not too many pictures today due to it raining the entire time we were there. We did some more stuff, but I decided to not get my camera wet. We had an alright time until the rain kicked into high gear. You've been a great test crew. Come back and ride with us anytime. Bye now! Here's a baby kangaroo, sometimes called a joey. Definitely a rhino. Lots of rhinos this time. Birds on sticks everywhere! Take that, Hanno! I hate him so much. Except for this one. Oh boy do I love elephants. Animals are fun and interesting, aren't they, gang? And these guys...don't get me started on these guys. Then there were the horses. First we saw some pandas. Next up: the Safari. We had a good ride. Oh, you want proof? I'll give you proof. This is a picture of Will pretending to not notice he's having a picture taken of him. This ride includes many homages to There Will Be Blood. The single rider line was going very fast today. It was probably just luck. We took a ride on Everest. These guys were in a very strange spot: across from the Nemo theater. I have a weird compulsion with taking pictures of every street performer I see. Will wears a mean dark pair of shades. This fulfills my "Erik shot" quota.

TheRapidsNerd
Some great pics and captions. The Nerd Shot below is my favorite. Satisfactual comes from the Zippity Doo Dah song lyrics. This Nerd Shot made me laugh.
Not For Sale
Today my roommate Will, his friend Jerry, and I went to the Disney Studios and Epcot. It was much more crowded than we expected. 90 minute wait for Toy Story. Crowds lightened up towards the end of the day, Mission: Space being a walk-on and Test Track at a 30-minute wait. Picture time! Bye bye! They were only running 5 cars today. I don't know if the other show had 5 or 6. I love this ride. It's half the time of an entire feature-length film. It's insane! Yeah, these qualify as my 2 Test Track pictures. Oh my. I must have gone in the wrong entrance. This is considered evidence. I was stressed out. It's amazing how they harnessed the power of black holes to construct Spaceship Earth. We parked REALLY close to the front. Then we left. Apparently nobody else wanted to leave. We took a whirlwind tour of creepy animatronics on the "Great" Movie Ride. They've had a maintenance call in for the front elevators for over 15 years. Poor show, Disney. Nerdier shot! Nerd shot! You know how we feel about our fans! I don't know if you noticed, but these are modeled to look like electric guitar instruments, popular in most rock and roll music bands. The G-Force Records logo is how Robocop would look as a South Park character. With the new line configuration on RnRC you can see backstage...through the trees! The limo is back. I like this shot. This is a shot of me realizing I didn't take a picture of the entrance and being too lazy to back up and get a full picture of the sign. We parked far away. This was a bad omen. Not For Sale
I went to the Magic Kingdom in the late afternoon/night today. Things of note: -It was totally dead. The only thing I didn't walk on was my 2nd ride on Space Mountain, which was filling the station, but past the turnstiles. -They're all ready for MNSSHP, looks to be exactly the same as last year, which is a good thing. -I met the management of Waldameer way out of the blue. They were walking over the Splash Mountain bridge and I saw their Waldameer polos so I stopped them and said hello and how awesome RF2 was on the Behemoth trip. They also found out today about their Golden Ticket. They seemed happy. -They were only running 1 station on Big Thunder, and they were stacking the trains a little. I don't know if I've ever seen that before on there. And now that you've ignored the words, onto the photos! I go sleep now. That's right, Space Ace. Ladies? Uh oh...I...I need to leave. I didn't realize robots would be attacking me. There were some Halloween-themed statues in the hub. Those people aren't even looking at the backside of water! This is a once in a 10-minute opportunity, people! That's more like it! Give me some personality, Skipper. And then I went on the best Jungle Cruise ride I've had in a very long time. Now THAT'S a nerd shot! Almost a nerd shot. Then I went on Big Thunder. It was like nerd shot central. That's probably something. They probably shouldn't use the blankets. Just a suggestion. It's cute how they all act like animatronics when the boat goes by. It's like Toy Story! Until the boat blew the horn. At first it seems unassuming... This is interesting. I'm getting too cocky with my photography. "Tom Sawyer, you tricked me! This is less fun than previously indicated! Let this corny slice of Americana be your tomb for all eternity!" I think there's a little bit of the show building on the bottom right. That counts as a caption I think. After reading Dan's TR I decided it was finally time to ride the Liberty Belle. Why would I use the camera right after eating ribs? You can practically taste the liquid smoke in it. And new napkins. This is rock bottom, isn't it? There's new cups. Wandering over! The only ejector air in Orlando is here! I decided to wander a little bit. Candy lights! My score was 1337 for "Eibloo". People seem to love going through the switchbacks as fast as possible. I don't think I've ever seen these before. What the hell are they? I stared at this picture for about 5 minutes trying to think of a caption. This was taken at about 5:00. I think. 5 flags! Aaaand we're in. There's some funky thing that's going on top of that. Yeah, construction is still going on strong in the main concourse. It's only been forever. I got nervous when I saw a lot of cars. This was nothing to be worried about.

dandaman
"Tom Sawyer, you tricked me! This is less fun than previously indicated! Not For Sale
Went to DHS today with my buddy Torin. Crowds were more than I was expecting, but they were still small. I finally got on Toy Story Mania, and I thought it was great. Really fun ride, but I don't see myself waiting an hour+ for it. We waited about 40 minutes to ride. Coaster and Tower had 15 minute waits consistently. Notes: -Coaster was running really bad today. Lots and lots of Vekoma-ing. Also, they were only running 2 trains. -Tower had some great CMs today. They were really in character. -On our first ride on Tower we rode the right side and noticed an elevator waiting to go up to the loading area. When we went on again we realized they closed that side down right after us. -Great Movie Ride was only running the back half (gangster half). -Mr. Potato Head dropped his ear! We were waiting in line and I noticed he took his ear off, which I heard he hasn't done it much lately. Then I heard something drop and he was just standing there, no ear in hand or head, just looking around until a CM came and put it back in. And rain. We decided to pack it in. We did pretty much everything anyway. In other news, my camera is dry. Have a good evening. And rain. Then it started to rain. This shot was taken about 1 second after the CM went away. Here's a better shot. Fallen-off ear shot. Read the blurb at the top for the story. I like that one of his tricks is remaining perfectly still. That Imagineer needs a promotion. NERD! Clearly Mr. Potato Head has bribed the police. He's standing right there, people! Hi I'm Woody. Howdy howdy howdy! Andy's mom went 2-prong. Poor decision. This ride will really knock your dick in the dirt. I don't actually think that's a saying. "Great" Movie Ride time. We didn't learn our lesson with Millionaire, apparently. I was told there would be animal carvings on the tree here. A marble door? How deliciously absurd! Even for the tiny wait, we opted for the single rider line. Why not? We were in and out in under 10. We then headed over to Hanes: The Experience. Here's I B SAD's headquarters. You give the Pixar characters an inch, they take a mile. Exhibit A: Cars meet and greet OUTSIDE of Pixar Place. Then we went on A Tribute To All Nations But Mostly America. They're still doing some what-have-you to the Muppets balloon. There was absolutely no moychindice in this store. I plan on writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau. The lights are already going up. One half of the street is pretty much covered. There's no excuse for this to be blurry. Torin's sister's boyfriend was working today, so we stopped in to say hello. The sign is just too damn big to fit in one picture. It's not my fault, I swear. I'm pretty sure I didn't take this picture. I have absolutely no memory of it. We parked close. 1-19 is CM parking only.

Not For Sale
Torin and I went to AK and Epcot. We had a nice time. We left AK after riding Everest because of the crowds. I decided to shoot in RAW today, and boy was that a mistake. The pictures turned out nice, but they're way too hard to deal with. To see the pictures in a less compressed manner, visit my Picasa kajigger. Notes: -Animal Kingdom was crowded for this time of year: half hour waits for Dinosaur and the Safaris, 40 for Everest. -Epcot was dead. 30-40 minutes for Soarin', 20 for Test Track, 10 for Mission Space. -We did some new Innoventions stuff: Stormstruck and that recycling thing. They were really good. We were thoroughly impressed. -The angler fish in Nemo wasn't working. -I promise to do a non-WDW update one of these days. Bye bye! Caption! This is more of a shot of how steady my hand is than anything interesting. The Epcot Egg sure is neat. Spiceship Arth was our last ride of the evening. PUSH IT. HARDER. We were going 592 mph at this point. This is when you go fast. Taste Truck had a short wait. No problem, boss! Thanks, Gary! It was time to go Soarin'. Oh boy do I hate myself for saying that. We were very proud of our grade on the quiz when waiting for Turtle Talk. They're potentially finally adding something to this ride. Is your smeller broke? It smells like peppa up in here! That looks dangerous. First stop, Looving with the Loond. I must caption every photo. You can't escape the parking lot photos. Here's Torin pointing at a license plate instead of a humorous bumper sticker. Here's a picture I planned on putting at the beginning of the update, making it seem like I didn't forget to take it when we walked into the park. Then we fled the crowds. In prehistoric times, it was customary to hang your car bumpers up and put ceramic dinosaurs on them. Here's the closest look. Notice the missing track up close. Here's an even closer look. Notice the missing track. Here's a closer look. Primeval Whirl is being refurbished to make it better for enjoying. I'm sorry I got mad at you. Are we friends again? Suck it, temple area! It's a god damn festival day! I tried getting a picture of this shrine, but this mountain in the background wouldn't budge. I see you, rogue Coke ad! This tree was disappointing. I didn't see any 3 dimensional movies inside of it. This update consists primarily of nerd shots.

Not For Sale
Today Andrew (Swimace) and I took a trip to Cypress Gardens and spent a little bit of time at MK and an even littler bit at DHS. Crowds weren't bad at MK, and would've been dead if we got there before they let the MNSSHP crowds in. We waited about 15 for Splash and 10 for Space, walk-on for Buzz. The rest of the story will be told in the pictures. Also, check out Swimace's TR when he posts it. Then we teleported to the Studios. Bye bye! Whew. They ended up walking into the sunset. Don't jump! Oh sure, don't blur the photo that would be amazing blurry. Thanks, camera! This ride orbits astros! And hers. So does his. Your cadaverous paler portrays an aura of foreboding. It sure is, Japanese rising sun! We got wet some. Waterfalls... Jumpin' million-dollar rabbits... The projects... This isn't such a good neighborhood...Lots of...Y'know. Isn't this delightful? They use these very same vegetables in many of the restaurants in Epcot! I sure learned my lesson. Oh my. That's much better. I guess we're in the Magic Kingdom now. I...I'll be right back. IT HAS INFECTED THE MAIN BUILDING. SOMEONE SEND HELP. IS THAT A ROBOT? THAT'S A ROBOT, ISN'T IT?! OH MY GOD WHERE ARE WE? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? OH MY GOD GET OUT OF THE WAY. THIS IS HORRIBLE. Oh my. That's much better. Time to relax. This is obscene. I was so offended I didn't take any pictures of us leaving! What's not to love about this park? Oh. I think I need to rephrase that. I wonder if the person making the sign questioned whether to put the word "enjoyment" on it. Here's the The Swamp Thing zero car. BOOM! I hope you didn't forget what Andrew looks like, because you're about to get a fist full of him. There's our pal Andrew. Until the Power Surge ride op came over to operate it with her. WHAT?! So here we were waiting for The Swamp Thing, and the ride operator was just sitting there... 3 out of 4 hurricanes agree that this ride exists. Clerks: The Ride. Holy balls I took a lot of pictures of this ride. I'll spare you the scrolling. "She said 'Okeechobee.'" "She's okey-dokey." Here's where you see where The Starliner goes into its show building. Ewww... Modern technology is bullshit! Believe me, you don't have to ask. They'll remind you about 10 times before you leave. This was a bad omen. Okay, this comes REALLY close. I couldn't think of a more appropriate way of beginning this than the portable bathroom at Cypress Gardens.
Swimace
Awesome photos, you got some really good ones of Splash Mountain. Then we teleported to the Studios. Bye bye! TJinPgh
I met the management of Waldameer way out of the blue. They were walking over the Splash Mountain bridge and I saw their Waldameer polos so I stopped them and said hello and how awesome RF2 was on the Behemoth trip. They also found out today about their Golden Ticket. They seemed happy. Great photos. Curious. On the Waldameer website's blog that they were looking at a potential new ride for Waldameer on this trip. Don't suppose they gave any hints on what they were looking at? Waldameer is quickly becoming a favorite small park of a lot of people and we're all anxious to find out what they're getting! lol
Not For Sale
^They didn't give any indication, and I'm not really sure what they said their reason for being down here was. TJinPgh
No problem. Was just overly curious/anxious. Here's what they said in their blog prior to going to Florida... Due to the enormous success of the Ravine Flyer II and the park's best season in history, Paul Nelson already has his sights on Waldameer's next great attraction. Both Nelson and Gorman will be checking out the POTENTIAL NEW RIDE while in Florida. Will be ready for the 2009 season? Nothing definite yet. Was just hoping somebody might have a hint. Not For Sale
Torin and I went to AK for about an hour and a half. Everything had 5-minute waits. Notes: -They're set up for the Expedition Everest Challenge race going on tomorrow. It starts at the end of the parking lot. -They were inflating the wait times for Dinosaur. It said 20 minutes at one point (it was a walk-on). -The Yeti is still in B-mode. -Everest's line was set up strange. They sent everyone through the Fastpass queue. It was nice, the line was moving super fast even though they had 1 less train than they usually do (there was one sitting right past the transfer track). Kwaherini! We gave Triceratop Spin a go, attempting to get pictures of Primeval Whirl. Notice how you don't find any shots of such after this picture. Spot the nerds! You thought you could escape the nerd shots... The entire top of the right side is gone. It's like RCT in real life! They're going balls to the wall with this refurb. Meanwhile at Primeval Whirl, they covered up some props. I don't know why. Psst. Here's a secret...I took this photo before the previous one. I lied. This is. The quintessential TPR shot. This guy is so smug. Wipe that grin off your face. "Great composition, Bryan." said the thompson's gazelle. While the rhino uses Myspace, this antelope prefers Facebook. If this rhino had a Myspace, this would be its profile picture. These tips weren't too helpful, judging by the quality of this picture. If you squint you can see Montu. One day I'll figure out how to creatively take a picture of the entrance. We parked really close. That's Torin's car on the left, and that's cast parking over there. Not For Sale
I went by my lonesome to the Universal duo of parks. There's a lot to report on, but I think the pictures will tell the story. A lot of good, a lot of bad. Here's a bonus: the new map showing the awkwardly placed Dragons entrance. Thank you, Universal. Boy howdy was it fun. I guess they close this early now? I went to see this about 20 minutes before the park closed and the doors were shut. My time has not come yet, Mel. The NBA restaurant was a walk-on. This guy was talking on his phone. Have you ever seen a more polite ride? No, Mr. In The Hat, I tip my hat to YOU. I wonder what that metal used to be. Everest, anyone? I had to really doctor this photo up. That's the Dueling Dinos entrance for the time being. Dueling Dinos. Gah! They were only running 1 train on each side. It was really really slow. What's this I see? Dueling Dragons in Jurassic Park? This thing is a freakin' monolith. Nope, nothing at all. Nothing to see here! "O hai. i upgraded ur tor" Empty rows! And that concludes the fake Hanno pictures. Here, enjoy this picture of an empty Jurassic Park line. No biting! I like this one. And now is the part of the trip report where I pretend to be Hanno. I'm sorry for using the flash. I was just so excited to show you guys that there's no line. I'm not sure if I understand what this means. Seriously, does it actually make sense? Dear Spiderman, Do you like me? []Yes []No Hulk was running great today. It may have helped that it was a walk-on. Does this count as a nerd shot? Your wish is my command. Blue Man is watching you poop. This is a picture of me being too short to take a picture of Rockit Mountain. I took this picture just so I could say "Spongerobert". Easily the best coffee-themed ride in the tri-county region. I had the ULTIMATE sad and pathetic ride on Men In Black. I was the only one in either of the cars. Needless to say, I won. 386,000. This is airbrushed on the other side of my van. I rode ExtraTERRORestrial Adventure for the first time in many years. Boy is that ride weird. Also, they were using only 1 station, I don't know if this is commonplace or not. I waited about 20 minutes. Yay radioactive hamsters! I have this airbrushed on the side of my van. Patience, Bryan, you won't soil your pants today. That's next week. Never forget.
