Restrictions have been lifted significantly and other similar companies (Kalahari,Holiday World, Six Flags) are now preparing to reopen. They can now get the staff in the park and get it prepared for reopening.

I can foresee a lot of workers getting called this week and an opening scheduled around early/mid June with accomodations and beach access opening before hand.

They stay at home order has been changed so some rules guidelines still in place. They still need to get approval from the state before they can open. They have not publicly been given permission yet. The earliest, if that was given today, would be around the 4th of July.
Kalahari in Ohio I think is just opening the hotel and not the water park again still do not have permission from the state to open.

I will go read the Six flag pages to see if any open dates have come out or if it's just them saying you will have to make a reservation when the park opens.

Also Ohio has a much bigger issue with all the ride inspectors getting laid off.

Not sure if this is an ominous sign of things to come for summer in Ohio, but I read somewhere that the Ohio State Fair was cancelled for 2020. :|

Some events in Wildwood, NJ, for August and September were cancelled months ago. Some events just take a lot of planning and prep, and it would be simpler to just cancel out of an abundance of caution. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I have heard that a couple of the county fairs where I used to live in NY and PA were cancelled as well.

Has anyone heard or seen any of the coaster being tested at the point?

I personally have not watched any webcams, but many people on some park fan forums have reported coasters such as Valravn and Gatekeeper testing.

Don't get too excited though, Ohio's governor does not seem ready to announce any re-open date for amusement parks or reduced restrictions on mass gatherings.

I trust his site more than a fan Facebook group. That is why I was asking.

Breakers canceled my reservations for June 14th and 15th on this past Sunday so I think we can assume CP will not open for at least another month at the earliest.

^What I saw wasn't on FB but a dedicated park fan site.

My re-opening dart is being thrown at July 4th weekend as the parks re-opening date with no CPS this season at all. With it being pushed back so much I am also expecting a Halloweekends Friday type ride line up for most of what is left of the season. I know unemployment is up but CP relies so heavily on internationals that staffing will probably be a bigger nightmare that usual.

Honestly I am not planning on attending at all this summer due to restrictions and entitled Karens. Mostly the Karen's tho. The restrictions won't bother me, but willful ignorance and entitlement do. :lmao:
