Totally Messed Up Ultra Twister...

So Rock IM's me today with the most bizarre looking thing I've seen. How have I never heard of this bizarre mutation of the Ultra Twister coaster!!!

Yeah, I thought youd find that "neat." To say the least. I can just imagine that you get slammed upside down like on Manhattan Express.

Are there any other ultra twisters without the turntable at the end?

I saw photos of that ride a few weeks ago on ThrillNetwork.. and a few years ago on the ols good FrightTime ....Looks fun.

Let me get this right, it does not stop and tilt you at the end? You actually perform a half loop? That is kinda odd. It's gotta be somewhat painful, yes?

the way it works is like any other UT.. but at the mid point is does at dive loop and not go backwards... Then at the end it has a spinning playform to right the cars,

That looks pretty cool, but I bet terribly painful going through the dive loop. Also having the twists going uphill is pretty neat too. How come no one has ever heard of this before though?

Jesus! I must be slacking. I've been looking for pictures of this custom Ultra Twister for YEARS. Never been able to find any, period. BTW, this was the only one made like this. Mmm, want. Made my crappy night a little better.

Seriously ... This ride looks great. While America has some of the finest coasters, you really have to travel to find the most unique creations. Me lika.

Yeah, I had heard about this ride last year but could never find a picture of it. It's pretty neat to finally see a picture of it. It's definately odd.

I've seen the vertical lift Ultra Twisters before but not with the dive loop thingamajig. I'm sure it beats killing off the speed from those transfer sections.

Wow thats messed up looking... I guess I might try it out, I'm not the biggest TOGO fan, but I haven't rode any of their good stuff yet..

^I just trnslated it with google... yeah, it's hilariously bad translations, but all the good ones are.

I rode the Ultra Twisters at both Nagashima Spaland and Ikoma Skyland in Japan. Both were very smooth and actually a lot of fun! This one also looks cool. Here are some pics of the Ikoma one. They wouldn't let me videotape while I was riding it, so I let them use my video camera and tape me from the platform. It is pretty funny because they kept talking throughout in Japanese, and when I got off the ride, I tried to thank them in what little Japanese I knew. Great day!

^Now THAT would have been a god one to have the dive loop, because they could have made it gow down farther and then hop up into a barrel roll instead of just dropping straight into barrel rolls.

OMG does that thing go over a cliff or something? Can you imagine going over something like that in a dive loop. It would be insane.

That original post ride looks amazing. I bet they could actually fit that in Elitches... We so need some crazy rides... It would make the park seem slightly less depressing.

^I don't think putting a Togo in any SF property would do anything but make it MORE depressing. Plus, Elitches has the half-pipe and it looks fun.

That's insane .. was wondering how they turned the trains around til I viewed the webpage .. crazy, why can't SFAW's do that!?

Heck, why couldn't SFAW's have kept the veritcal lift?

Well I dunno if you have been on the vekoma hell that is the boomerang here in CO. Now granted I may be a bit biased because my knees are physically crused by the seat in front of me and the restraints don't really fit me but seriously... I mean how does the ride manage to jar you 3 times on the chain lift?

I swear that I can't imagine how a TOGO ride would be any worse.
