Kingda Ka Testing

I was at GADV on Sunday and they closed the park 2 hours early, I wondered what was going on so I stayed and then saw KK launch and clear the tower. It was so amazing. Hopefully video will be avalible soon.

I think KK is male. Just look at the large phallic tower. And the ride lasts less than a minute...those are male traits.

I hope someone makes a video of it testing. I find it funny that I'm looking forward to riding Shakira more than a clone of the worlds tallest and fastest coaster.

By the way, the opening date should be April 23rd if all stays on track. The commercial shoot has been scheduled just before then.

i dont know if it will make the dead line, if that is the date. because it looks like they have alot of theming to do.

The park is auctioning first ride seats on Ebay, advertising it for April 21st (a day the park is closed to the GP), so the 23rd pretty much looks like the definite opening day now.

I would bid on the seats but I dont know If i can make it....

All of the Bids are starting at $456.00, there is only one person that has bid so far.

I don't understand why people are going to pay over $500 to ride KK. They aren't going to the FIRST riders because the people that built the ride will get to ride it before them. Hell even the people that work at SFGAV will get to ride it before the people that win the auction.

It's kind of strange that sixflagsnj (the ebay seller of the kingda ka first ride) on ebay's last auction before the kingda ka auctions was Halo for X-box... Might just be a coinkidink, or......

It's still a very young male...once it turns 40, it will be lucky if it can do it once a day.

i think its silly to bid like 500 bucks just to ride it first. i dont see why its actually THAT important. people amaze me sometimes.

Kingda Ka is an exact ( or very close to) clone of TTD, so why spend all of that money to be the first riders of it, when the cost doesn't even include airfare or rental car.
