JuzzaMcFluzza
Hi Guys I am from Sydney, Australia and currently planning a trip to the states in July/August. I want to try and ride as many rollercoasters as possible during this period and visit the best of the best parks. I have compilated a list and narrowed it down to the following parks Six Flags Great America Kings Island Dollywood Carowinds Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion Six Flags America Six Flags Great Adventure Hershey Park Canada's Wonderland (Maybe) Cedar Point I will be starting the adventure from Chicago on Saturday 25th of July and will be doing a big loop down to the parks (in the order as listed above). We will need to depart Chicago again on Friday the 7th. (I don't think we'll have time to get to Canada but I'm hoping I've covered the similar rides through the other parks we visit) I plan to get a Six Flags Platinum Pass and Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and purchase day tickets at Dollywood, Hershey Park and Busch With the parks listed above - Would you take any away or would you add any? Is it possible to get through each of these parks in 1 day? (My main concern is Cedar Point) What is the park traffic like in this period (ride wait times etc.)? Recommended accommodation? (Is there good packages for 1 day entry and accom with Dollywood, Hershey or Busch?) Fast pass recommendations (do I definitely need at particular parks)? I am doing the coaster tour at Busch Gardens - is it good? Are there any other recommended behind the scenes tours (coaster in particular) you guys would recommend? I've done a lot of research and I know a lot of answers to the questions above however the locals always know it better so if you guys have any advice for taking on this road trip I would love to hear about it!! Any other advice you guys would have I would really appreciate Thanks for you help Justin
GCI Wooden
Where's Knoebels? It doesn't have a bunch of coasters, but from what I've heard, it's one of the greatest parks on Earth. It looks like you have the eastern US covered! Maybe trade Six Flags America for Six Flags Over Georgia? Here's what I'm kinda thinking. Six Flags Great America Kings Island Dollywood Six Flags Over Georgia Carowinds Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Williamsburg Six Flags Great Adventure Hersheypark Knoebels Canada's Wonderland (If you can) Cedar Point. I would recommend 2 days at Cedar Point.
coasterbill
Would you take any away or would you add any? Yes and yes! Add Knoebels. Take away anything that stands between you and spending a few hours at Knoebels.
larrygator
Replace Six Flags America with either Knoebels or Kennywood.
