  1. I have heard from several people here in the Community that the Musuem that ACE has wanted to open may be at CLP. It was stated in the Meadville tribune that the Board of CLP wanted to open a Coaster Musuem at the Park and when I asked a board member about it he said that the Park and ACE are working together very strongly on it. What are your thought if it is the Big Musuem. Do you think it is a good location or if they could do better.
  2. Sold to DATman. You now have $0 and a heck of a coaster. Feel free to sell it if you get tired of it. Next up is Maverick @ Cedar Point. Do I hear 1 million?
  3. You sure? The point of the game is too build a collection with limited funds. And to see who gets the most.
  4. I found this on another site. You have 100 million each to invest towrds your own collection. The starting bid is 1,000,000 Please bid in 500,000 increments. First up will be Dominator @ GL. Do I hear 1,000,000 Place your bid. Remember, you want to build a collection, so be conservative. You cannot build new or clones, thats no fun. I will be your auctioneer, but may decide to bid as well. This auction will end in about 48 hours. Also please keep track of your own Credits. No one likes and over spender.
  5. I can see them keeping the rides on the Water Park side maybe they will move some other ones over there. Just a thought.
  6. You can find lots of pics from 5 years ago of the park. I can't imagine how much worse it is. Negative-g
  7. I went to GL on Saturday the 15 for one reason coasters. After getting off work at Mc Donalds @ 3pm I hit the road towards GL. I arrived at the Park at 5pm. Wen I got out of my car the park already had a festive feel to it with Polka Music blasting over the systems. I got my ticket and went stright for Thunderhawk. It was Oktoberfest weekend and also the last of the year so with all the rumors going around I just wanted to get there before it's too late. Thunderhawk My first SLC Rating 7/10 My first ride was at 5:30 There was way too many People in the station Everyone just cowded in. There was only one train running but the crew did a great job of keeping it going. Dominator My First Floorless Rating 10/10 I got hoped on Dominator after Thunder Hawk. The wait was about 15 min for the front seat. I relly impressed me. I just hope that Cedar Fair don't take this one. Head Spin My first Boomerang Rating 3/10 They should call it Head Ache. Now I see why Acr's tryand avoid these. When I got in line for the Front Seat there was no one in the Station other than the Ops who where nerd ( No offence to anyone on here who may be one) They keep taking abought games over the mic. All I can say is I may never ride Head Spin again. Beaver Land Mine Ride Rating 5/10 For a kiddiecoaster it really packs a punch. All the Forces on it surprised me. I enjoyed it. The Villian Rating 10/10 At this point the Sun has set and it is a night ride. The wait was the longest of the day due to only one train running. The ride was Very fast and Loaded with Air Time. Great Ride. Double Loop Rating 7/10 The last time I rode this was when I was 8. Once again there was only one Train Running but the Crew was great. There was alot of air time on the hill after the loops and the hill on to the breaks. Nice Ride. Big Dipper Rating 9/10 I last rode this was during my 6th grade field trip to SFWOA. One Train running and an over crowded station. Other than that it was a great ride. The Op at the controls always talked about history of the ride and said a really cool phrase "Thanks for keeping it old School on the Big Dipper". The Ride was very fun and Packed with Air Time. Front Seat rocks! Dominator 2 rides Both walkons First Back seat the ride was going fast than my first. Ops were great. Second Middle Seat very fun. Thunderhawk My first ride was in the middle seats so I decided to wait for the front. Took a while due to just one train running. And a couple kids causeing trouble on the Platform. It was better in the front. It was a fun night and I got some Souvaniors on my way out. The Park had grreat smells because of all the food vendors. And a Smell of Booze. The Park was full of Drunk people. Raging Wolf Bobs I noticed that The park is just letting the coaster rot away. Pint is chipping and I just figure that if the wanted to keep it they would have fixed it already. Lets just hope that the keep the park together for years to come. Thanks for reading.
  8. I will try and do an Update for you all. Observations I have noticed a couple things my last few visits. Beach Club It is great that they reopened it. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. But I have a few problems. First they don't use colers and they just put drinks in an Ice bucket. I understands saving a few bucks on electric but I would prefer cold drinks. Second I do not see why they don't sell more in the Fry Stand. There is not much on the menu. You can get Fries Chicken and Fries, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers. They do not sell Soda or water there just Beer. I know they make money of that but they need something for the kids to Drinks. They got the whole park full of Soda and other food making machines that are just siting there rusting that they could clean and use to sell more food at the beach Cub. Hotel I have nothing to complain of here. I am glad they also reopened that. I am also Happy they brought back Bonnie Eisler to Manage it. And I am glad they left the Resturant closed. Other Past Staff I am happy to report that they found a place for most of last years staff who lost their jobs 3 months ago. They have Don Shantz and Smitty back in Maintnece. A coulpe more in security and Mary back as head of housekeeping. Management George has been out of town for the week. I have nothing against him for it but he did miss 2 key events, Meet The Board Night and Labor Day weekend. R.I.P. Ed Seely Ed owned the Fairway 12 Motel just down the road from the park. He was a major supporter of the park from giving free rooms to park Volunteers to the Benifit Pig Roast/Concert. R.I.P. Vandalism Security There has not been much security at the park. They only have 4 on staff. 3 of them are out of shape or very old and the one has no experience he was a maintmence last summer. There was only one at the park over the weekend. Flower Pots Most of the flower pots in the park have been smashed by Sledge Hammers. It is just pointless. Blue Streak Some teens broke in and let the Blue Streak train lose and now it is sitting on the Bottom of the Lift. If they do not do something it will be very difficult to reopen it next year. The teens were chased down the midway by security and got away on a boat. Labor Day Crowds The weekend was very busy and there had to be more than 1500 people there. The Beach was full and the Midway was packed. Hotel I understand that the Hotel was booked full the whole weekend which is good. Kaylee Belle I was happy to see the Kaylee Belle giving full loads. But for some reson they closed early. Well thats it hope you enjoy. Don't forget about Pumpkin Fest October 12-14.
