  1. In case anyone didn't see the news that just dropped. Busch Garden's Tampa making what everyone already knew official!! FUCK YES!!!!!! https://buschgardens.com/tampa/roller-coasters/2020/ <iframe width="660" height="371" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WhQHHUM-thA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> I MAY HAVE TO MOVE TO TAMPA!!!
  2. Hi, For all the experts that know the ins and outs of Cedar Point. I am thinking of taking a trip there this year and was wondering: 1. When does everyone think is a good time to visit during the year? 2. How many days should I visit? 3. Is the Fast Pass worth it?
  3. Hi Everyone, Life has been busy and I have not been able to check in here as much, totally bummed I missed the opportunity to do a tour, especially that USA one. It reminds me of one I did way back before the first West Coast Bash with RideWorld way way way back. Anyway just wanted to pop in here and see if there was any info about West Coast Bash returning this year later in the year? I'm sorry if this has already been answered a million times before I am quickly jumping in here and asking. I remember seeing it get mentioned in an email. Hope everyone is good. : ) Paul
  4. Like what in the actual f*ck???? KMG sent out an advisory over these rides a few years back. Check this story out. http://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/investigations/records-reveal-fireball-thrill-ride-had-past-history-of-structural-fatigue-cracks
  5. Really disappointed over the news that the Dragons are closing. This was one of the draws of even bothering to go to IOA to begin with as a coaster fan. Now the park only will have one coaster which is still fabulous but for a park named Islands of Adventure, its more like Adventure with dark rides. I'm going to try to get up there and ride them one last time before they all close. : ( Paul
  6. So, so messed up. Now go and watch the POV of the KMG Infinity and imagine the same thing happening on that ride. : ( : ( : ( Paul
  7. This is just the worse thing I have ever seen on any ride ever. I've been on this thing 100's of times at various fairs and I've always watched it go up and swing and visualized a "what if this happened" final destination type scenario and I never thought I'd see the day I'd actually see it happen. I'm so sick over this, this kind of crap should never, ever happen. Especially since they engineer the shit out these rides with so many fail safes and redudancies. So terribly sad for all who were injured the life lost. : ( : (
  8. Looking forward to the event!! I am actually coming out to Cali for different reasons this year. This will be my first time actually coming back to back years as I normally only like to come out when there is a really epic new attraction. I think this will be like my 5th or 6th or 7th event.. not sure. Coming from Florida and alone again since no one I know is crazy enough to just trek across the country to ride rollercoasters. As I get older my body can handle the g-forces from the rides less. One year it was Xcellerator ( My favorite between both parks ) 50 times, the next event ( last year ) was 20 times, this year if it's running I'll be lucky if I can pull 10!! It''s like a reverse exponential curve. I remember last year I was so wiped by the Magic Mountain Day I was sleeping on the benches anywhere at Knotts, and in the middle of the presentation about the Halloween event. Did anyone see that? Each year I check out of the park for a few hours and go sleep in my car just to rest up. It will be awesome to finally get to Knotts one year where Ghostrider is actually running!! I only think I've ever ridden it for 2 of the West Coast Bashes and that was like years and years ago, easily more than a decade ago. Paul
  9. Imagine this thing got stuck.. while it was inverted.. I mean it could happen.. The Mondail Topscan ( Space Roller ) broke down here at the Dade County Fair once right at the top of the arc with riders on board... Imagine being stuck on that arm upside down.. 200 feet high in the air.. lol Paul
  10. This thing is insane!!! I'm not sure I could handle it.. the lateral g-force on the chest coming down if you are at the side must be nuts!! I've been on the KMG Nemesis 360 ( it goes by that name ) that has a similar look.. but the seats can be released so they can sway much like a ( Mondail TopScan - Space Roller common traveling name ) and it goes all the way around to the top and they just leave you up there while the gondola arms are spinning.. its great.. but this.. hmmmm almost 200ft high in the air.. I'm not so sure... KMG's Tango is also one of the scariest flat rides I've ever been on. The most intense ( and I don't think I'll ever ride it again ) is the Technical Park Pegasus 16 ( it goes by many different traveling names.. ) that one literally had me terrified.. Paul
  11. Didn't I finish out West Coast Bash last year on the flume ride at Knotts?
  12. I had a great time at West Coast Bash. I really need to find someone to come with from South Florida. I recognzied a few faces from the 2013 event, and it was cool to see some of my old RideWorld friends ( Rob & Paul - if you read this ). Here are a few photos I took throughout the event. Thank you to Robb and crew for always putting on a fantastic event!! Paul
  13. Really looking forward to the event this year. I'm coming all the way from sunny and hot South Florida. Always appreciative of the parks and robb jumping thru hoops to have events like this. This will be my third or fourth West Coast Bash, I think I came to the first one after X opened, then another one after Tatsu opened ( or maybe that was the first one and X was already opened can't remember. not sure how many years its been happening now ), then 2 years ago when Full Throttle opened and now with Twisted Colossus I'm super pumped to ride that!!! 2 years ago at Knotts I logged 50 rides on Xcellerator ERT ( 25 in the morning and 25 at night ) !! Not sure that will happen again with a sell out.. but hey it was fun and I was high off adrenaline!! I"m thrilled Goliath is running. I love Goliath at night!! Just wish I could find someone crazy enough do take random non sightseeing trips like this that cost a little bit much with me on a whim but oh well.. See everyone in 9 days!! Paul
  14. Any West Coast Bash event where I can get 50 rides on Xcellerator is a total win in my opinion... Had a fabulous time at Six Flags Magic Mountain and had a nice little discussion post lunch with the DIrector of Rides there... making sure to thank him lots for the park going all out for us... Full Throttle, Drop of Doom and Goliath at night were amazing as usual and worth flying out there all the way from Miami. Knotts was great too... 50 freaking rides on Xcellerator.. that definitely did not happen at the last West Coast Bash.. that ride is like complete crack!!!! Really loved the presentation post lunch with all the questions. I still think with some over the shoulder restraints they should at least try Xcellerator backwards for one year.. it would be amazing.... Capped off my trip by flying into Universal Orlando and finishing off with Busch Gardens in Tampa. Nice meeting who I got to meet and looking forward to the next one when I can make it out again. Paul
  15. Trust me absolutely No bitching here.. that the parks even go out of their way for a small group of people ( few hundred ) is incredible to me... at what is probably great cost to them to keep the park operational above normal hours... I'll be visiting Disneyland Friday as well too.. first time.. Paul
