  1. @DoinItForTheFame: Thanks, hopefully you will like it. It's taking a while to make the next story entry so here is an out of context update. - Out of story update - Hey everyone! It's definitely been a while but with some time working on and off with this, I'm glad to say Red Rock Valley, the western area, of Lodgepine Lake Resort is complete. Although saying that, there may be a very special addition coming shortly, maybe. This is a MASSIVE milestone for the project, and for myself and has given me hope that this will one day be finished. Also, I've started work on the next area of the park, KiddieLand, obviously the kids/family orientated area of the park. Here are some pictures of the completed Red Rock Valley area and a few of the first attraction in KiddieLand. Also, there is a link to a video that shows off some of the area and is a video test for an idea I had. Furthermore, I forgot to add, as a thank you to all the fantastic custom content creators, I'm hopefully going to feature a plaque on the boardwalk on the lake with everyone's name on as a commemoration for this awesome community. Once again, thanks for the feedback and comments, it's much appreciated guys! Until next time. Thanks again. JAMMY
  2. *Out Of Context* So, I don't really post much here, but decided I should try and change that. Therefore I'll start with this. As I did with an old RCT3 park many years ago on Shyguysworld, I will be implementing a story into this park. I've been wanting to do a story since I started but was waiting until I'd got enough to start it off with. Anyway, below is the start of the story, I hope you enjoy. _________________________________________________________ Hello there. I am Harry Turfeld and live in the large rural town of Scanford. I am a amateur photographer who is studying Marketing and Design at my local university. One of my main hobbies is to visit local and far-a-field attractions such as theme parks and zoos. Today it was announced that nearby to Scanford, a new development surrounding Lodgepine Lake was in the making, and to my excitement, it turns out that is going to be a theme park resort courtesy of Worley Enterprises. I found this community and thought that I should share the news with others. The area is quite hilly and covered in woodland so I'm sure it is going to make for a beautiful park. An investor called Norman Worley has bought the land from the council and has proclaimed that he hopes the development will become one of the top visitor attractions in the UK, if not the world. I can't wait to see what amazing things this park is going to offer. Anyway, enough introduction, I managed to photocopy the article in the local newspaper about the consented planning permission and also got a concept image off of the website. I feel exciting times ahead! So there you have it. I really can't wait for the future press releases from the park and I'll try and get a hold of any development pics when I can get down there. If I can see anything that is. This park has a lot of potential I feel. We will have to see what happens. See You Soon Harry Turfeld ______________________________________________ I hope you enjoy this concept and thanks for all the comments. Until next time!
  3. Test run video of the ride below. I have to say, that airtime hill looks very strong and also seems to provide a very close headchopper with the catwalk of the MCBR. However, the twisted drop off of the MCBR does look like a very sharp transition. I hope it doesn't ride badly with the OTSR's.
  4. Strangely enough, this bolt flying off has occurred on a join of track which is the entry to the first dive loop. This area fit perfectly together as far as we know and the troublesome join areas are still fine. Very strange indeed and yes, a very bad weekend for the parks.
  5. The full onride video is now available. Doesn't look too rough but certainly is quick. [vimeo] [/vimeo]
  6. ^ You can always buy Fastrack tickets to skip the queue however I personally feel they are overpriced and too much of a farce. Also, last year there were incidents whereby fastrack was oversold during July school trips resulting in hour long fastrack queues. My best advice would to bevisit as early as possible in July as the majority of schools visit later in July. If you feel like buying fastrack then go ahead but just be wary of the above situation. Aside from that, just enjoy your visit. EDIT - Also remember that the school groups don't tend to arrive until 11:00 and tend to leave around 16:00. In that case, try and get to the theme park for opening at 10:00 or ERT at 9:00, and stay until the park closes. This should give you an extra hour or two when the school groups won't be around.
  7. ^ It depends really. Firstly, if you are going during the week (Monday - Friday), be wary that a lot of schools have trips to Alton during July and queues can reach 2 hours at some points. If you are visiting at the weekend (Sat-Sun), queues will probably range from 30mins - 90mins. Can't be certain though!
  8. Today during normal operations, the launch cable on the Rita attraction at Alton Towers snapped during the launch section of the ride. Fortunately there are no reports of injuries and no one is said to be harmed. The picture below shows staff guarding the broken cable where it has drooped down from the above track guide. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1728209&l=65dee00c8d&id=312433085441604 *EDIT* A replacement cable has already been drafted in. At least they're working extremely hard to get it reopen again.
  9. Hello everyone! I have made a recreation of The Storm to give everyone an idea of the final outcome for the ride. Enjoy
  10. If you look closely, you can see what looks to be an electrical cable. So I'm guessing it's to protect that. Probably leads to a sensor/brake/trim of some sorts.
  11. This is a rundown of the attraction which was shown on the local TV news programme. Still over-hyping it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYPBDbOEqHY
  12. Another little teaser advert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDxjoJbj6I0&feature=plcp&context=C4764264VDvjVQa1PpcFOEclWTvNwZC5i50t1t9FACKuGkY_dlcrA%3D
  13. Not sure if this has been posted but another soundtrack for The Swarm by this so called 'a2b media' has been uploaded to youtube and is meant to be for the Station Ambience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tepUZWHGCO4&feature=channel
  14. Really looking forward to this. I am very intrigued into how the Black Forest will be created. In order to give people a feel for the ride, I have created a recreation. Enjoy.
