  1. Yeah, from what I saw it just depended on the ride how late they gave out FPs for. I know Space Mountain had them going all the way until 4am when it closed, but I think ones like Snow White and Winnie the Pooh stopped them early, like 1-2am. I'm not 100% though, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. Wow, I have to disagree with pretty much all of you on this one. I don't think its really that big of a deal to come back within a pre-designated hour that you can usually plan for far in advance. Disney parks are huge and everything, but when I went with my friends last Spring we only had three days to get through all four parks, and yet we still did it no problem and still abiding by the FastPass and riding basically everything. And the FastPass system wasn't created entirely for the guests' benefit you know. Disney wants as few people in line for attractions as possible at any given time because the longer you aren't in line for a ride, the more likely you are to spend money in the park. Oh, and it wasn't created so the people who just wanted to ride rides could do so, it was created so everyone could ride what they wanted to without needing to give up time just walking around the park and stuff, which families do quite a bit. By skipping your time and going back later you are screwing up their system and making other guests wait (possibly much) longer when they wouldn't have had to if everyone came back when they were supposed to. I just think it's a bit inconsiderate I guess.
  3. Anyone else see the Royal Caribbean commercial that said "The Ocean Is Calling"? *facepalm*
  4. I think this looks pretty cool, and was a good move on Disney's part. I've always wanted stuff at parks to be much more personalized and interactive, and this looks like a pretty good start to getting there. I'm going to the parks tomorrow, so I'll definitely try this out and see what I think about it.
  5. Yeah, I thought something was weird with that ernie. You did good after you got going though! Good fight
  6. These pictures are fantastic. Some of the best nighttime shots I've seen in a long time. And I'll admit I'm a sucker for long exposure shots... I think they're the best things since sliced bread. And donkeys of course.
  7. This is honestly a lot more fun than I thought it would be.... And being my exceptionally geeky self I'm wondering what has the most impact of whether you win or not, so I'm going to do a statistical experiment to figure it out So I'll let you all know my results when I get some. (And if you want to help, give me your number of punches, punches landed, and steps. and whether or not you win of course. OH! And which bot you were!)
  8. I am in love with this thread... Shanghai Tower: I love how fluid the structure is on this one. Abu Dhabi Capital Gate: Again very fluid and very cool. St. Mary Axe: Awesome missile-like design I know I'm forgetting a ton of pretty buildings but oh well. These are probably my favorites Wait wait wait, I almost forgot the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, located very close to Ferrari World, with its beautiful light-up shell:
  9. Robb got on its back and they galloped into the sunset. All of a sudden, though,...
  10. Yeah, I'm gay too I was in the closet all through high school (except to a couple close friends) (no, not that kind of close), but I made the decision to be out in college and am sooo glad I chose that. Been much easier to live my life without hiding things like that. And I never realized before how much of a gay following the roller coaster world has. Not huge, but still twice as much as normal population. Which is awesome
  11. Usually when I'm stuck between two numbers, I go with whichever one is more popular... Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be helping this time. Lock me in with FOUR Duckies and here's to hoping I picked right.
  12. Agreed. The Big 4 don't need the minimal attendance boosts that rotating the rides will give, and I can see some people actually choosing not to renew their pass because their favorite ride is taken out, so honestly I feel like that strategy is a bit counterproductive when you factor in all the costs of moving a coaster and marketing it to a new audience. To me the smartest thing to do would be to build brand new high-class rides for the smaller parks and rotate those around which should guarantee higher numbers at those parks and an extra little boost each year that a new ride is brought it. Almost strikes me as a travelling carnival sort of thing.
  13. Wow, some of those were tough. Getting pretty sneaky with the Sesame Street there.... Hopefully the yellow ducky will help!
