  1. How busy does USH get during the day when the Halloween events are on? Tossing up whether to go during the day on a friday in late october, or wait a week and a bit until Halloween and go then mid week on our way back.
  2. Hi everybodee! In the middle of planning our long awaited return to the US and this time I'll be bringing the wife and daughter instead of my sons. Anyhoo, one place I want to bring them is Knotts, mainly as my wife is a HUGE Snoopy fan! It's a good possibility that we could be making it over around late October this year and of course that is Halloween. There's a good chance we may end up doing the Scary Farm event one night as well like on a Thursday. When Scary Farm is on, how busy does it get during the day? I'm guessing the night would be pretty popular and have a fair few people, but what is the daytime compared crowd wise? We wouldn't be averse to doing the daytime for rides and coming back for Scary Farm to do the mazes (would be our first time ever experiencing anything like this - well except for me doing the walkthrough @ Universal) if this was a beneficial thing to do. Cheers all.
  3. https://7news.com.au/entertainment/dreamworld-closes-popular-ride-for-revamp-c-519818 The iconic Tower of Terror (II) is being shut down early next month to make way for all the new stuff. Giant drop will still operate as normal. 22+ years of service........ thankyou for the thrills ToT!

  6. Interestingly, when we were at the park on 19 March this year, Roaring Rapids was actually open. This was the first time ever in all our visits (all roughly around the same time - this was our 4th since 2012), this ride was never open. So of course, we had to take the chance and ride it. Well, I don't think I've ever been so soaked on a rapids ride like this in all my life. The "boat" ended up with about 6 inches of water in the bottom of it, at least ankle deep. Was funny at the time (apart from having to walk around the rest of the day in wet socks). But I was a little disappointed in how short it was. I was under the impression it was a longer ride.
  7. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KBF. have Hangtime at least in Soft Opening by late March and i will love you long time.................
  8. *please be open by late March* *please be open by late March* one can only hope...........
  9. half correct. Movie World, Sea World, and Wet n Wild (both Gold Coast & Sydney versions) are owned by Village Roadshow Theme Parks. Dreamworld is owned by a company called Ardent Leisure.
  10. Probably not as it would only be my brother and I. We both have drivers licences but we are from Australia so I do not know how we'd go driving. Mate, you'll be cool with a car. Trust me, done it on my last 3 visits, so much easier. Whilst doing everything opposite to what you're used too sounds a bit daunting, it doesn't take too long at all to get used too. Took me all of 500m and once you're in traffic, it's no different. Just don't hire a car by walking up to a rental place and doing over the counter. You will be rorted, especially in insurance fees. Shoot me a PM if you want any tips on hiring a car, it certainly is a good way to move about LA. I'm trying to organise my next trip in March 2018. We'll definately be doing MM again, only managed one ride on TC last year and ended up leaving early cos we were feeling a bit crook (flu).
  11. Still get a wristband with the Platinum pass. It's for letting you re-ride immediately if you wish. We never used that feature when we there back during Spring Break. I sorta felt bad enough jumping the queue as it was!! haha That reminds me, it was the week before Easter, on a Wednesday we went. Parked the car right on park opening, but we didn't even get on our first coaster till after 1pm. Spent so long in the Will Call line to get our LA Go passes processed and then so long in the line to actually get in the bloody park, and then another massive line to get the Flash Pass. Was kicking myself I didn't purchase them the day before at the very least.
  12. Is it worth pre-purchasing Platinum Flash Passes (for $125 each) from the website for our planned visit in late March? Unfortunately, it is the week before Easter and what I understand to be Spring Break so will be quite busy? Looking at a midweek day. IS it one of those no-brainer "get the pass" type of days or a "wait and see" tyoe of day?
  13. I think you have to find where the Rental company shuttle bus stop is outside your terminal, then catch the bus to the Alamo/National depot up the road. At least that's what I have to do, but i come in via International. Locals can correct me if I'm wrong
