  1. I didn't put my post on here to whine or to dispute anybody elses comments, only to state my side of the story as the media does tend to twist and omit certain facts from their reports. Your response to my post seems to imply that I'm exagerating what happened so here is my reply to your post... Yes I do know how sunburns can be caused and no I'm not implying that being stuck on the ride caused this... it's a fact. "In reality" they were stuck on the ride for just over an hour, not for 15-30 minutes as you so ignorantly stated.
  2. I'm going to be taking my first trip to Orlando on the weekend of October 9th. The primary purpose for my visit will be IOA for obvious reasons (Hulk, Spider-Man, HP, etc.). I'm super excited now to know that I'll be able to be there for HHN now! Just need to convince my GF now.
  3. The young man with the curly blonde hair at the beginning of the KTVU story is my youngest son Gabriel. He was on that train with my oldest son, my step-daughter and her two cousins. They all like to ride coasters and will still go on other rides but will not go on Boomerang again. IMO, it was the uncertainty of how long they would be up there and the suddenness of how they were brought back down that scared them. Will it stop me from riding it again?... No. But I'm not their age and I wasn't on that train with them so I'm not going to fault them for their decision not to ride it again. They did get free passes to come back to the park and Flash Passes to finish out their day, but they also came home with very bad sunburns on their faces, necks and arms. Heat or no heat, UV's can do the most damage sitting still facing directly into the sun.
  4. Wow, Lightwater Valley looks like a really cool place to visit. BUT!... they are BITERS! I present to you Exhibit A, a screenshot taken from my RCT3 park called Cretaceous Kingdom. One of the rides I created/themed was called, "Raptor Attack." The picture in question was uploaded to ImageShack on August of 2008 so clearly, they have stolen MY idea! I am, of course, not angry about this... just thought it was really interesting and worth posting. Exhibit A... MY version of Raptor Attack Exhibit B... Lightwater's version (*cough-STOLEN!-cough*) of Raptor Attack
  5. Thanks for the review John, most helpful! I'm very much looking forward to going with my kids this summer. Lock up the funnel cake stand Santa Cruz... here we come!
  6. Thanks everybody for making this a truly enjoyable first TPR trip for me! I was regretably unable to attend Great America on Sunday but SFDK was enough fun for two days! The animal meet-and-greet was awesome... never got to pet a two-toed sloth before and the Medussa ERT was fantastic! Robb, I know you couldn't get a very good shot of KT on the coaster on Saturday so I've attached the one I snapped. Hope you like it. See you next time! JayBe So many things going on in the first two cars... maybe we should have a "caption the photo" contest?
  7. ^ I'm a new reader to this tread but not to the forum. Found myself browsing the threads on a slow day at work and yours caught my eye. Glad it did!
  8. Looks like you guys had a great time! Did the dipper get new trains or just a new paint job?
  9. Enterprise, one to beam to the TPR Party Bus! Enterprise? Braden to Enterprise, come in Enterprise! Sorry, still can't make it.... whahhhhhhhh!
  10. That sounds awesome, thanks! Sorry I didn't even think to look in previous posts. Been a long day.
  11. Meh, not bad for an iPhone though. Always a good albiet decent back up when you don't have the digital. I meant to ask earlier, is the ride still a single level only like the original? I ask because there appeared to be a lot of space upstairs when the walls hadn't gone up yet. Not sure if this is attraction area or perhaps office space for the boarwalk.
  12. You've got some mad skills there Jordan, I'm very impressed. Keep up the awesome work. Looking forward to your updates.
