  1. Our Japan trip was absolutely awesome. Almost everything exceeded my expectations. Both T Express and Hakugei were unreal experiences. I still cannot believe how insanely fast Hakugei is... I was definitely not anticipating a "WTF, this is like Steel Vengeance" kind of ride. Also, FUUUUUUUUUJIYAMAAA FUUUUUUUJIYAAAAMMMAAA FUUUUUUUUUUUUJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYAMAAAA
  2. Riding all these RMCs has been such an awesome adventure. Can't wait to finally make it out to Zadra! Anyway, Twisted Timbers and Steel Vengeance are both essentially perfect. I expected SV to be my #1 steel coaster, but it still exceeded all of my expectations. Those first two giant hills are insane.
  3. Awesome report to follow an awesome day! Seriously, Railblazer is unbelievably excellent. RMC continues to blow my mind with each new creation. The airtime on the outward banked hill is more intense than any moment on any of the ibox or topper coasters I've ridden thus far (and I've been on all of them that Jeremy has). I'm so excited to ride the 2018 RMCs soon!
  4. After so much time spent in anticipation, and POVs watched more times than I can count, I entirely expected Lightning Rod to be my #1 wooden coaster. Nevertheless, I didn't feel like it would beat Intimidator 305 as my favorite coaster of all time, and I was totally okay with that. None of us do combined lists anyway, so it really wouldn't matter... or so I thought. I was wrong. This coaster is truly perfect. Each element is excellent, and every second of the ride is without flaw. The Twist and Shout is incredible in so many ways, and the quad down is unlike anything I've experienced in my life. I feel so fortunate to have gotten five rides, but even that was not enough. I really don't think I could ever get "enough" Lightning Rod... I could visit Dollywood every year and anticipate my rides as though I'd been waiting a decade. Dollywood's slogan is "Love Every Moment", and that is absolutely the way I feel when I'm on Lightning Rod. I think every RMC I've ridden is highly enjoyable, but none have delivered like this one. All that's left for us to ride is Wildfire... Until the next ones pop up. This era of coaster construction is so exciting; I can't wait to see what RMC creates over the next few years and beyond, and I'm even more excited to keep traveling around and experiencing them together!
  5. Of the 62 in North America, I have ridden 58. My total is 59 though, as I've ridden one international B&M - Hair Raiser.
  6. I have a very difficult time taking the initial post in this thread seriously. "Weird" is a social/cultural construct. One man's norms are another man's deviance. It seems to me, DBru, that your question is not overly philosophical. On the contrary, it is not thought out well enough. I agree that many people at coaster events have personalities that lie outside American normality, but I also agree with the statement that we "only have a personality insofar as we deviate from cultural norms". Calling someone weird doesn't get you very far. If you dislike that personality or if certain individuals are too different for you, just stay away from them.
  7. This was a super fun mini-trip, and Joker was SO GOOD. I'm still thinking about how much better it is than Wicked Cyclone. Great pictures, as always!
  8. I'm really enjoying all these photos! USJ looks incredible, and now I want to ride Flying Dinosaur more than ever. I'm very pleased to hear that Hollywood Dream is such a fun ride too.
  9. Awesome TR! Great pictures. It's so cool that you were able to take a couple days out of a work trip to ride some coasters (always a good idea). Looking forward to the next installments!
  10. I wish we could have gotten a few more rides on Wicked Cyclone (and Superman), but that New England weather is always unpredictable! I'm really excited to see how Joker compares, since we've been hearing a lot of interesting stuff about it.
  11. Awesome pictures, best trip ever. Now I just can't wait to see how Joker is! (And of course, Lightning Rod... But it's still not open consistently)
  12. ^ That coaster shocked me as well. I was astounded by the airtime and overall forcefulness.
  13. Our quick trip to Mexico was an absolute blast. After riding Twisted Colossus again today, I kept thinking back to Medusa... And also being ridiculously excited about Lightning Rod, Storm Chaser, Joker, and Wicked Cyclone this summer!
  14. I am so anxious to see how Medusa stacks up against the American RMCs. It looks insane, but I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes so high that I let myself down. Aaaahhh it's ridiculously exciting!
