  1. This is too easy; Sky Rocket after the corkscrew to the brakes.
  2. Here are some more recent photos I've taken at the park, as well as a few videos. The Swing Shot video is new and the Black Widow video is a re-edited version of the previous one I posted. Enjoy. More Kennywood photos can be found on my Flickr Photostream: Watch in HD! [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/jp4tzHiVvN0[/youtu_be] [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/wA9dIqrcbl8[/youtu_be] As always, any feedback will be much appreciated. Thank You.
  3. Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I'm a broke college student, so I had to settle for a cheaper camera. I have a Nikon Coolpix L610, a simple "point and shoot" digital camera. Other than the basic modes (auto, indoor, outdoor, etc.) there aren't many options available.
  4. I recently purchased a new camera and decided to resurrect this thread. I was a Kennywood team member for the past four seasons. The photos on the previous page were taken the day I had my team member orientation in 2009. Last year, after graduating high school and beginning college, I decided to turn in my badge. Working at Kennywood was a truly unique experience that I will never forget. This is my first summer as a season pass holder. It’s amazing how working at an amusement park can change your perspective of the industry. I think the following photos capture how I see the park now, because I realize there is more to an amusement park than extreme coasters and white-knuckle thrill rides. I believe the little details are just as important. Enjoy! Any feedback will be appreciated. There are more photos on my Flickr photostream: Thanks!
  5. Here you go, all the information you need. http://kennywood.com/docs/VIPtourInformationSheet.pdf
  6. Sky Rocket at Kennywood. It's a great little coaster that's a ton of fun and as smooth as glass.
  7. Merry Christmas, welcome to TDB’s Electric Fields Amusement Park! Here is what the park looked like 17 years ago when TDB Entertainment first purchased the property. Before the purchase a family who made a living by farming owned the land. In the fall the family used to open their farm to the public and offer food, games, and small portable rides. The event, appropriately named The Electric Field Family’s Fall Fantasy days, became a huge success. TDB Entertainment noticed the success of the event and the amusement park operator made an offer to purchase the land. Here is the park today! A visit to Electric Field’s Amusement Park has become a summer tradition for many of the local families. It is one of the few amusement parks in the country that still permits picnic baskets, offers free admission, and uses ride tickets. The park boasts over 20 attractions, including 6 roller coasters. Titan is the park's largest and most popular roller coaster. This twisted mess of track belongs to Wooden Warrior, a Great Coasters International creation. Recently land has been cleared and one of the original farm structures has been renovated for a new ride. Rumors claim that Intamin is involved with the project. Stay tuned, hopefully for an official announcement! Comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
  8. We never started selling beer. I guess someone took all the negative comments into consideration.
  9. That's because Kennywood likes to work their team members 14+ hours in one day. I'm not going to lie, it's hard sometimes to keep a positive attitude when you work 28 hours in 2 days. This happens quite often.
  10. Kennywood shouldn't be too busy on 6/7. The Exterminator line gets VERY long and does not dissipate at all. I would suggest going to Sky Rocket first, then make your way to the Phantom. The Phantom's exit ramp leads to the corner of the park where the Exterminator is located, ride it. After that I would suggest going back to the front of the park and working your way around counter clockwise. VIP Coaster Tour passes could make the day much more productive if you are willing to pay. However, I wouldn't buy them until after things pick up and you can determine how busy the day is going to be. You have to get Patch fries with bacon and cheese! Have fun, let me know what you think of Kennywood.
  11. Parts for Black Widow have started to arrive... https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/s720x720/560703_10150706790174865_123450319864_9492824_1510417343_n.jpg
  12. Hey everybody! I am a new member to Theme Park Review; I have been visiting the site for quite some time and finally decided to make an account and start this thread. Kennywood is my home park, for those of you who have never been there I strongly recommend going. The atmosphere at Kennywood is fantastic and is truly something that no other amusement park can duplicate. It is such a photogenic place, I could spend hours just walking around and taking pictures. I wouldn't really call myself a professional, I just have fun doing it. This particular batch of photos is from August 2009. I will post more photos later. Enjoy!
  13. It has been confirmed, the Pitt Fall is for sale. http://kpconnection.com/ scroll down a little.
