  1. It's not entirely like that, we should add a bit: De Vliegende Hollander (2007): €20.000.000 Joris en de Draak (2010): €12.500.000 Bosrijk (2010): €60.000.000 Raveleijn (2011): €30.000.000 Hartenhof: (2013): €42.500.000 Aquanura: (2012): €? Miscellaneous (2007-2012): €15.000.000 So in 5 years they spend: €180.000.000.
  2. Joris and the Draak will be open when it isn't freezing. I was there a few days ago and it was around 35 F (+1 C) and it was open. Concerning Troy, it doens't open during the week, only weekends. But with and avarage of 100 visitors it's not THAT strange....
  3. Hey, Looks like some people had another look at the new drawings, and this is what we saw; http://www.eftelist.nl/a_hhtekeningen.html The clearence is about 10 meters, which is huge. Here in the netherlands we can only think of two types of rides: Robocoaster or Pandora's box. Whatever it is, the Efteling is going to build one of the coolest darkrides EVER! JohanR Edit: overview: Note, the track has a huge clearence, this thing is twice as big as the biggest darkride in the park. Also. The building is going to cost 10 million, which leaves 35 for the darkride alone!
  4. Seam like Lisa cant really anjoy the same thing as 4 milion others....
  5. Hey, It's not based on any real ride, I kinda make up the lay-out beforehand and when building I adjust the hills and stuff quite a bit. I did some work today, the shaping of the first camelback is finished First drop Camel... ...back Wood! Overview so far! JohanR
  6. Hey, I started working on a real wooden coaster model today(static though) I do everything by hand btw JohanR
  7. As Far as I've read in some reviews your not watching the screen all the time. You switch between screen and animatronics. Of course, this is impossible to see in such a bad onride. I think you guys need to wait a bit and get a way better look before forming an opinion......
  8. Then again, the Efteling isn't sponsored or back-up by some large multi-media company. The Efteling is a product on it's own, and they have proven to build extreml;y good rides with low cash. Also, A big amount of money doesn't guarantee a good ride. The Efteling has some of the best designers on earth(or had...) and I'm sure they can pull of a ride like no other.
  9. Hey, I just read something VERY VERY good in the dutch newspaper ('Brabant Daily') Translated The rest isn't that important, all about the two new rides for this year. Also funny, this new ride will bring the total investment over 3 years up to 85 million euro's. And there is even more to come as far as the dutch fans know!
  10. ^Bullocks, Vekoma is so big now-a-days that it'll take more than 2 bad reides to get them closed. First of all, we don't even know what wrong with both rides, it may well be a thing that has nothing to do with Vekoma whatsoever. Also, as far as I recall, when the rides are open, they are top quality!
  11. Reads: Damn, there goes my only change to ride that ride. Reads again: More thrilling ride? Holy Hell, is that even remotly possible ?
  12. Just put them here, there is no need to send them all there This is the turnaround near Piranha This part is going to be in the water. Also notice the flat turn when coming out of the turnaround. And the big fat slap of concrete is gone Lifthills Ah, they also add some theming near the station location. Mhhh, now we actually see its a Vekoma, although, good paintjob for a white coaster. I can see airtime Notice that little hill there. Worlds first, a straight GCI first drop xD Now, I wanna have it open
