  1. I wasn't too sure where exactly this post would fit in, seeing that it is about a video game, but also has elements of Walt Disney World, but I guess the random section worked best. I came across a great trailer for the new Epic Mickey game for the Wii. In my opinion it looks nothing short of stunning! If the game play matches the visuals they could have a real winner on their hands. I figured there is a lot of Disney fanatics on here so I though I would share. http://www.videogamer.com/videos/disney_epic_mickey_cinematic_intro_trailer.html# Enjoy!
  2. Not too sure if this has been posted before or not, but I have come across a site showcasing eight abandoned U.S amusement parks. It says they are still standing for exploration.....legal?...probably not, but doesn't hurt anyone to show them off. http://www.nileguide.com/blog/2010/05/26/8-abandoned-american-theme-parks-open-for-exploration/
  3. Hey Everyone, In honour of Space Mountain closing (and now re-opening) I had created a video awhile back. Kinda dumb, kinda cheesy, but I thought what the heck, why not share it. Enjoy
  4. Despite everything that has been said over the years about Drachen Fire I still place that coaster in my top ten of all time. Perhaps I am looking at it through rose coloured glasses but it had a solid layout and it was ahead of anything else for it's time. I would give anything for one last spin around her.
  5. I took a trip there myself last year and found that Hotwire was great for a hotel. If you look for a 4 star hotel in Princeton chances are it will be the Hyatt. It is only about 20 minutes away and about $55 per night. There were many other options in different star categories on the site.....BUT...Princeton is definitely a good place to stay, not too far and there are things to do and eat close by. As for the park....I would do every coaster but if the lines are really long I would save The Dark Knight, Skull Mountain (or whatever it is called) and....yes......Superman for last as it is not a huge loss if you miss them. I am sure I don't need to tell you but DO NOT MISS EL TORO....it's number 1 on my list of 100 or so coasters ridden. Have a good trip!
  6. I came across a new Weird Al song today that made me chuckle....however a tad depressing. He sings about life as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise. ENJOY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNo8LvdOwSk&NR=1&feature=fvwp
  7. I'd say the closest thing I have ever had to a blackout was during a ride on The Outer Limits at King's Dominion.
  8. Wicked, this is the exact kind of thing I was looking for. I know I have some Wonderland pics kicking around somewhere that I will find and put up.
  9. I've always been interested in the areas of parks that are rarely if ever seen by the general public. Whether it's the backside of theming or an employee lunch room POST 'EM HERE. I wish I had something to kick things off....but I don't.
  10. Thanks for the answer about Skull Rock guys! It's little things like that I wish were never removed from parks. Much like the Wonder Mountain Walkway at Canada's Wonderland. They may not be thrilling, but still an attraction in my eyes. BTW Shane, I love your Attic posts, seeing parks in another time is definitely a highlight for me!
  11. Jeez.......I am sorry, I completely forgot to resize the photos after cropping.
  12. So oddly enough attending a funeral yesterday led to a great find. Searching through some old photo albums back at the house I came across a good collection of photos and guide book cutouts from Disneyland, Universal Studios and gone but not forgotten Busch Gardens Los Angeles. Please keep in mind that some are not of the greatest quality AND I apologize for the glue stuck to some of them, but it was the best I could do without ruining the originals. Enjoy And that is that! I do have a couple more from Busch, but a seem to be having some scanning toubles at the moment. Hopefully I can get them up soon. BTW, does anyone know what is sitting where Busch Gardens used to be? Last but not least Busch Gardens! Ma and Pa Kettle's animal Farm at the Visitors' Centre at Univeral Studios. A HHN preview??? The stuntmen at Universal Studios Action Arena. The original tram tour The next stop on our tour is Universal Studios Mine...Mine...Mine..........oh wait..not yet The original and still the best in my opinion. Now able to hold more chubby people than before! Man, I wish this was still here. Can anyone tell me what, if anything, was in the skull? Looks larger in 1970......... This is the first of a few attraction discriptions found on the back of some of the cutouts. Most don't really match up with the photos so I will just post them for interests sake. The Matthorn pre-bobsleds.......I think Front page of the Disneyland Guidebook from 1970
  13. 10) X 9) Space Mountain (Disneyland) 8) Drachen Fire 7) Kingda Ka 6) Apollo's Chariot 5) Superman (SFNE) 4) Behemoth 3) Top Thrill Dragster 2) Millenium Force 1) El Toro
  14. My vote is for Dueling Dragons. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the ride, but the queue itself suprised the heck out of me with it's size and length....i almost wouldn't mind waiting longer to get a better look at all the details. Other than that I am always suprised at the length of wait for ANYTHING at Canada's Wonderland on any given day......it is pretty much still at least 45 minutes for an SLC.....when you're lucky.
