  1. Calico's is now the Fowl Ball sports bar and grill, I think it opens this weekend.
  2. I'm not going to release the numbers, but I have either actual or estimated attendance numbers for almost every year that SFSL has been around, you can correlate the ups and downs in whatever way you want to. The park will likely have higher attendance this year than it has had in several years by extending the season, but that is an artificial increase (back in the early 80's the park closed in early October), so remember that all the seasons are not equal days.
  3. Fireball is already going around in circles , still not opening until May.
  4. Fireball is currently half a circle and probably would have been completed today, if not for the high winds, it will not open until mid-May.
  5. The public announcement for Holiday In The Park is not going to be made until closer to opening day (Six Flags America is also doing it).
  6. Speaking of flipping trains around, rumor is the Screamin' Eagle may be running backwards at some point during it's upcomming 40th celebration year, it hasn't ran backwards since the 90's.
  7. The three Missouri parks are not that far apart from each other. It's about a 4 hour drive from Worlds Of Fun to Six Flags St. Louis, it's around 3 and 1/2 hours from either Worlds Of Fun or Six Flags St. Louis to get to Branson and Silver Dollar City.
  8. The hypercoaster (Goliath) would have been built here sometime from 2001-2005 (it opened in 2006 at SFOG), there are some rumors that 2003 was the target year and when it was delayed/cancelled the park got Xcalibur as an emergency backup ride. The American Thunder / Dark Knight rumors came after the hypercoaster was already built at SFOG. I have heard that SFNE was to get American Thunder and when that was not approved, they tried to get the Dark Knight coaster (rumored to come to SFSL) built without getting everything approved either (Dark Knight ended up in Mexico), basically there was a very late attempt at a park switch where only one half of the switch actually happened.
  9. There won't be much going on with Fireball for awhile, none of the ride is at the park and the ride won't open until late May anyway.
  10. The aerial photo is from sometime in the late 1970's (I know there are several of these around the park from different years, but I didn't know about this hidden old one).
  11. Dave spent a lot of his years at SFSL in the warehouse - besides being the original mail clerk, he worked as a regular warehouse man and was also the warehouse manager for quite a few years. He was transferred to Dallas to be the corporate Director of Purchasing, before he came back to SFSL to be the Park President for the last 15 seasons.
  12. With Fright Fest a week away this is the 2015 lineup: (MAP) • The Slaughter House (extra charge) – in old Mine Train station house • Insanity Alley (extra charge) – outdoor maze behind Empire Theater (enter by Joker, Inc.) • Blind Fury (extra charge) – outdoor maze in shade arbors • Voided Vision (extra charge) – inside Sound Stage No.2 • Camp Killamore (extra charge) – inside Hurricane Harbor - NEW • Wrecker’s Salvage (extra charge) – hayride (enter at Tidal Wave) - NEW • Love At First Fright – at Palace Theater • Dead Man’s Party – Palace Porch • Freaks Unleashed (starts Fright by Night) – Palace Porch • Final Freakout (night show) {Friday and Saturday only} – Palace porch • Will Rotten presents Freakout Circus (freak show) – next to Sound Stage No. 2 • The Dead Beats – Studio Backlot (next to Joker, Inc.) • Pyrogeist – DC Comics Plaza circle • Steve Daly’s Dreamz Comedy Hypnosis Show – at Empire Theater • The Pumkin Porch (kids stage) {Saturday and Sunday only} – Bugs Bunny National Park • Macabre Mansion (story telling and more) – Miss Kitty’s/Calico’s area • Cornelius’ Hay Maze (kids maze) – Old Glory Amphitheater (behind Go-Fresh/Kickin’ Chicken) • Scare Zones –- Minions Of The Scare-O-Jack – front mall area; Zombieville – Old Chicago (Boomerang) area; Sinister Clowns – near Batman: The Ride; Gag Alley – near Calico’s; Gnawlins’ Hollow – Log Flume/Shazam area; Spider Alley – Moon Cars/American Thunder area; The Seven Deadly Sins – St. Louis Train Station area; Vengeful Trolls (with “Big Troll”) – in front of Colossus - NEW The park has also added bonus days on November 7 and 8 (open 12-6 both days).
  13. When they dumped the containers by the exploding shack for the Terror Train, I figured they would be props for Wrecker's Salvage, but I didn't see that it's maked as an upcharge on the website, so I'm probably wrong about it being the train, because I know that the hayride is coming back for sure.
  14. That is the "troll trail" that is new/returning this year, Camp Killamore will be in part of the waterpark and Wrecker's Salvage should be the terror train this year.
  15. Rush Street Flyer is being permanently removed at the end of the season, it's not being moved/kept for 2016. Fireball will go right next to the "Boomerang" part of Boomerang and is probably similar in height to the Cobra Roll element of Boomerang.
