I had heard that WinterFest would not be returning to Worlds of Fun in 2021, but now it looks like it also will not be back in 2022. A bit sad to see it go. We enjoyed our time there the last time they had it. Link to the article where Cedar Fair discusses their 2022 plans and lists the parks scheduled to have WinterFest.

They do look like the Hook's Lagoon slides. The new 2021 park map posted online says "Adventure Cove - New" in the Hurricane Harbor section. The map online still shows what looks to be the Hook's Lagoon slides and the pirate ship. I have not seen anything in the news or on social media about this. Anyone know more? Is the water play structure being fully replaced or will this be more of a new activity pool or splash pad?

If Superman does get removed, I too wonder what might replace it in the coming years. Six Flags has worked with Larson, so there is there possibility for one of their drop towers. Six Flags has also worked with S&S, and the company recently announced the Spin Shot Tower. That would be a new and unique experience. I also wonder if there is the possibility of some sort of (Intamin?) drop tower being attached to the Mr. Freeze structure. I have no idea if that would actually be feasible though.

I think Herschend might be doing this on a park-by-park basis. The website for Wild Adventures says their season passes will be valid through December 2021.
