I was also in attendance yesterday for the comp winner's preview, and I must admit that I was VERY impressed with the ride and theme.
Given that I haven't seen any of the films and am not a fan of horror movies, I think that they have got the mix just right. You can easily understand this ride if you haven't seen any of the films, but it also has enough elements to satisfy the most die hard fan as well.
The idea behind the ride is that you have found an abandoned warehouse that Jigsaw is hiding in at Thorpe Park. You enter the grounds, snaking around the barbed wire and old traps before entering the warehouse.
Once you have negoiated the indoor queue (I won't give too much away....) then you are 'strapped into your trap' and sent on your way....
The indoor part was a lot better than expected and is full of suprises and film references. Once you exit the building, you are stopped by two plasma tv screens and coutdown timer before you climb to the top of the hill.
The outdoor coaster part is extremely smooth and flows really well, apart from the slight 'bump' at the bottom of the lift hill and extreme forces at the bottom of the dive loop.
Anyway, on with the pics!
