Upcoming plans leaked.
"... include a "Racin Railway" rollercoaster, a rapids splash battle, relocated train ride, a meet and greet area, and a new splash pad." Appears to be a clone of the snoopy coaster at CW.

Thanks for the info. I still had not heard what that building was for.
I agree on the lift hill. People were still having a blast on it. People still loved it. Guy I rode with had never been on it and loved it. I heard lots of people around the park talking about how good it was.
The good news: Lightning Rod 3.0 has been running all day. Much of it on 2 trains.
Bad news: there's really nothing high speed about the chain lift. It's a bit depressing going up if you're familiar with the 1.0 and 2.0 version.
I didn't see any new track. Also, when cresting the lift and 2nd little hill, there's now a huge building behind the first wave turn type section straight ahead. It's fairly big and just takes away more of the trees and nature around the park.
Six Flags Over Georgia opens their season with fighting and a shooting. Already in mid-season form.

If you like old wooden coasters there's a John Allen at Lake Winnie between Atlanta and Knoxville in Chattanooga. Another credit or two if you're into counting/collecting those and a great water ride.
