  1. Thank you Mr. Corn, I'll do what I can (certainly not spam, that's bad) to finally be able to post without the approval. As for Robb, I was just asking. Goodness. I was just trying to get answers overall because it seems like I'm not able to fit into conversations with other people here. People will be discussing something and I'll try to join the conversation, but by the time my posts are approved, the chat ended 3 days ago. Sorry for bothering.
  2. I'm a really patient person, but sometimes it seems like it takes day for something of mine to be approved. Is this just like a very careful way of moderating (even though some posts have only taken like an hour to be approved,) or is nobody around for long amounts of time? I guess while I'm here, I may as well ask (even though it's probably listed in rules) when the "must wait for approval thing" goes away? That is if it does. Thanks. Also, I still love the amazing singing in this video of yours:
  3. So apparently today was field trip day to the park for most schools, and honestly I feel really bad. The entire day was just cold and rainy here, I'd imagine quite a few rides were down because of it. Well other than that, the Ignite the Night 2017 video. I found it way better than last year's light show. I wasn't that surprised when they did a Pokemon related song, seeing how that became a huge fad again. They knew kids (and adults) would be pretty glad to see that. Although my concern is how it seemed like after the first half, they were using songs from past years. It's better than nothing though, so that's something to think about.
  4. There's a opening day report for the park on page 580. Hopefully that helps.
  5. Since it seems like this year was more of quiet year for the park, what do you guys think could be happening next year? Twister removal? Predator is replaced by another Vekoma SLC? (Joke)
  6. That's the bad thing about not having any smoking areas. They're going to be walking all over the place making the park smell awful, plus make it harder to breathe. My neighbor smokes and I can barely handle that! Something to point out is having the smoking area right next to a queue line. Seems like it would definitely cause some problems for the people waiting in line for Pirate.
  7. This has probably been noticed here already, so I'm sorry if it was. But look at what you can see deep in a back road near the park on Google Earth! Credit to the random person on Theme Park Crazy's video about the Astroworld Coaster for pointing this out. View from the street, the area of random colors in the red box. Would you look at that, it's not completely gone after all! Why they still have the Cuda Falls pieces around still is a mystery to me.
  8. Based on the opening day post, it seems like first day went okay. Sure the rain probably made the day seem down, but at least most of the coasters were still open. The Strike-U-Up game/ride seems pretty interesting, I'm sure it'll have lines during the summer and when it isn't raining. Slap Shot seems like it will bring in more people than the shooting range game, I honestly never saw ANYONE play it. Call me crazy, but I feel like Pepsi is honestly just as good as Coke. From an article I read, apparently Loganberry is in some stands in the park. (I only saw the one article say this, so I can't really promise it. Forgive me if it's fake news and I got people's hopes up for nothing.) The repainting of the Boomerang and Mind Eraser signs make them really stand out more, now they just need to repaint the rides themselves. Lastly, I'm glad how they finally put the rest of the Pirate station to use. I noticed during the 2016 season how the roof was actually partially collapsed. Good to know they fixed it up and are using as a rest station. (I hope to God it isn't a smoking area, they already poisoned the Ranger's old station for that.)
  9. At this point in time, the entire week here is supposed to be cool and rainy. Sure hope it changes by opening day on the 6th!
  10. Seems like Darien Lake has confirmed the Strike U UP and Slapshot game on Facebook. I'd say it's a fair addition for a park that just changed ownership.
  11. The back row of Predator is definitely something worth trying. Even if it does kill your back, it gives the best ride.
  12. Hello! I joined yesterday (4/17/17), but decided to make my little welcoming post now. I'm from the Buffalo area, making Darien Lake my home park. I've really only been to a few theme parks that I'm able to recall. These few are: -Darien Lake -Cedar Point -Fantasy Island -Seabreeze Amusement Park -Disney World (Happened in 2005, was too young to ride any coasters sadly.) Not really the best list, but I'm still younger and might someday get to travel further and do more. Overall, I'm most likely just going to lurk around. If you do see me post, it'll most likely be in threads for those parks listed above.
