Who doesn't love a park with an Intamin Mega Lite? The fact that the ride openings are staggered makes this an all day park if you want to ride all the major attractions and coasters. If you are visiting research the ride opening ahead of time to minimize your down time and maximize your fun. Enjoy every ride as you come upon it as this is a large park that you don't want to repeatedly circle. The park has two shooting rides and two haunted walk through attractions for fans of those rides. Theming is only surface deep but impressive from a far. There was a nice balance of intense flat rides and those that could be shared family experiences. Situated in the middle of the park is wooded section with bird and butterfly exhibits along with animal meet and greet. For food, within the park there is a McDonalds along with multiple KFCs.
Despite the usual staggered ride openings that are typical for the Happy Valley chain, this is a solid park with a very good selection of rides, including an honest-to-god Vekoma SLC and Mine Train! Well, that's not all that exciting, but you have to like any park that has an Intamin Mega-Lite, the North Pole Adventure shooting dark ride (Take that, Santa!), and Desperadoes (a wonderfully cheesy "wild west" simulator). Toss in a few haunted houses, and you should be in for a pretty good day at Happy Valley Chendu.
