| Attractions |
Grona Lund still maintains a very traditional amusement park feel. Until the completion of Twister (a Gravity Group woodie), Insane (the largest Intamin Zac Spin) is the wildest ride in the park. Many Schwarzkopf fans still love Jetline, and Vekoma has delivered an above-average inverted family coaster in Kvasten.
The footprint of the park is small so many of the rides are packed in closely, on top of each other, and intertwined. The park even uses the same tactic as Indiana Beach of having some rides (like the Flying Carpet and Wave Swinger) on piers extending over the water. Expansion of the park into a neighboring area is in the planning stages. Some of the other high-intensity rides are Katapulten (S&S Tower), Fritt Frat Tilt (Intamin Tilted Drop Tower with stand-up and sit down options), and Extreme (Mondial Space Roller).
The traditional feel is maintained in that the park still has a Tunnel of Love (Karlektunneln), Ghost Train (Bla Taget), haunted walkthrough with live actors (Spokhuset, slight upcharge) and possibly the best fun house in existence (Lustiga Huset). |
| Food |
| The park has many more sit-down restaurants where you can eat and drink at a leisurely pace than quick-service stands. Kresjey's is a BBQ restauant, but they also have amazingly fresh fish dishes. Kryddhyllan is in the heart of the park, great for people watching. Tyrol Bakficka is a bar serving German sausages and offers an outdoor porch for crowd watching. If you prefer your food on the run, there are two large food courts with many options. Kvasten Food Court has Thai food, fish and chips, burgers, hot dogs, and langos (fried dough). Rue du Maroc Food court sells pizza, kebabs, hot dogs, and Mexican dishes. |
| Operating Season |
| The park opens in late April for a couple of days each week, including weekends. In late May the park starts daily operations, which run through late August. From Late August to mid-September the park scales back to a couple of days a week. |
| Access & Location |
The park can easily by reached by public transportation.
Bus and tram:
Take Bus 44 from Karlaplan or Tram 7 from SergelsTorg right to Konsthallen/Grona Lund. It is also possible to take T's red line to Karlaplan and walk from there. The walk takes about 20 minutes.
Cycle or walk:
Go over Djurgårdsbron and follow Djurgårdsvägen past the Nordic Museum and on. You can also walk the path through Galärparken, along the waterfront past the Vasa Museum and the museum ships. Facts and Tips: A walk from Djurgårdsbron takes about 10 minutes, depending on how fast you go and how often you stop to enjoy the Royal Canal on the road.
By car:
As the park is in a congested area, it is highly recommended to use a park-and-ride and either walk or take public transportation. A suggested park-and-ride location is Parkaden on Regeringsgatan at NK (Goverment Street at NE). |

| The park uses Stors Scen as a venue for regional musical acts and major international stars throughout the year and is free to the public. Many shows are held in Tyrol and require a fee and reservation. |

Anyone who thinks a small park in the middle of a city with a small footprint cannot supply thrills should visit Grona Lund.
Grona Lund intertwines old and new rides and sometimes crams them right on top of each other.
The new owners have made great strides to improve the park in recent years and hope to get approval for more changes in the near future. While Grona Lund has moved ahead with new rides they have also kept their iconic walkthrough haunted house and fun house (one of the best in the world). They also scatter posters containing the park's history, which is a nice touch since the park is situated in close proximity to many of Stockholm's historic areas. | |

This is my favorite park in Scandinavia. Grona Lund delivers plenty of modern thrills, while retaining an old-school (and Old World) charm--and the addition of Twister will only make it better. The park's coaster selection is excellent--especially the aptlly named Insane and Jetline, their classic Schwarzkopf--and the theming is well done (they even made a Vekoma family-suspended coaster look good and ride well). The park's haunted-house walkthrough is also worth the upcharge. I think this is a somewhat underrated and overlooked park.

Even though the lines were long and it was a little bit confusing to get there, this was a great place! *Note: If your using your TPR card go to the customer service booth/center for tickets. The regular ticket booths send you there anyway, so don't waste your time in the long regular people's ticket line.
The employees I spoke to were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I got a VIP wristband, I have no idea what that wristband did for me, except made me feel slightly special due to being a different color than everyone else.
The carousel blew me away. It's so tiny! But so old! Go ride the giraffe that has a ladder. It's crazy! There is a very nice bar near the water where you can relax, have a drink or a smoke.

Grona Lund is a park coaster enthusiasts should visit at least 1 time in their life! They've got so many attractions in such a small footprint and they are always up to something new every year! The coasters are all amazing and unique. Grona Lund is soon opening their new coaster Twister which is going to be an awesome gravity group coaster! They are very efficient, they have great food, and the employees are always kind and always have a smile on their face! Simply a park you must visit!

A unique facility with a long history behind it! The place is almost perfect with the water visible everywhere in the park.
Gröna Lunds ability at such a small area still accommodate both laughter and horror is amazing. visit to Stockholm is NOT complete without a day / night at the amusement park!
