Hamanako Pal Pal tends to be overlooked, but it is a very nice little park. Its centerpiece is a two-story arcade, which is surrounded by an assortment of roller coasters, dark rides, and carnival rides. The parkís signature attraction, Mega Coaster, looks painful, but is actually very good; the Jungle Mouse looks rickety and painful and, well, actually is. Some of the rides have rather low capacity, which means long lines on busy days. Thereís also a gondola ride (an upcharge) that gives you excellent views of the surrounding mountains. Although itís not worth a special trip for its own sake, Hamanako Pal Pal is worth a stop if you happen to be in neighborhood.
