It's always good when the little regional parks are able to stay open to serve the locals. Camden is a no-frills parks without big thrills but quite a few old-school flats. A couple that are well run include their Whip and gravity-powered Haunted House.
Camden Park is certainly worth a visit for the hard-core wooden-coaster enthusiast or if you are passing through the area, but just don't expect to be wowed by the park.
I went with my wife and 4 kids(age 3-9). The park was fun, especially since there is not a height minimum on the Big Dipper when riding with an adult. My 3 year old got the credit in the last row where there is good airtime. Lil Dipper had square wheels but still fun for kids. I would stop by if passing through the area and the Haunted House should not be missed and counted as a credit. The smell back by the train is the waste water treatment plant next door. Unlike other reviews the workers were very friendly to us.
Camden is much nicer than I expected it to be. It's very small, but it's packed full of some pretty nice rides. Both coasters are quite a bit of fun, with Big Dipper packing a few pops of airtime if you sit in the back. The Dark Ride is the same as the one at Conneaut Lake, but this one is much better taken care of. The Whip ride here is a smaller model that runs faster and longer than most others. It's definitely my favorite flat ride in this park! The Log Flume will take you by surprise! You will definitely be wetter than you expect! You'll only need a few hours to enjoy the park, but it's worth the visit!
Fun little park with a few good/ classic rides. Be sure to check out the haunted house. They had some seats closed for the Big Dipper and riders did not have the option of choosing a seat. We did not have to wait in any lines during our visit.
Pros
One of two remaining gravity-powered Pretzel dark rides.
