Being from Tulsa, I appreciate Art Deco when I see it, and I instantly fell in love with this park. At night the art deco is accented by the neon lights on rides like the Cyclone or the Whip. The scrambler is run all out and the rock-o-plane is insane.
While the park my look ghetto from the outside, on the inside it's pure fun.
This place is like stepping into a time machine back to the Art Deco days. Great classic attractions such as the Whip, Matterhorn, Wild Chipmunk, Tilt-a-Whirl, Spider, and Scrambler, along with more contemporary style rides like Zoom.
Cyclone is best in the front car because of the insane airtime in those seats (You're 6 inches off the seat!). An oldie, but a goodie.
My only complaint is that it's not in the best location.
Cyclone is one old coaster but it's still a great ride. You get thrown around but in a comfortable sort of way and it has plenty of lateral g's and airtime to make you happy. Lakeside Park is located right next to a lake...maybe that's how it got its name! Plus you can see Cyclone from the road so you really can't miss it.
