Hey everyone!

We were fortunate enough to attend a very special media event at Walt Disney World today which focused on re-capping the events for the remainder of this holiday season, touching a bit upon upcoming expansions including the Seven Dwarfs Mine Car attraction and the Festival of Fantasy parade. We also heard about some Annual Pass specials for Florida residents and beyond. New holiday gift ideas and other WDW merchandise (some REALLY COOL stuff in there) and even got to have a bit of fun with the WDW Entertainment department's 'Streetmosphere!'

November 8th - 2013 - The OPENING NIGHT of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Yes, we realize that we are technically closer to Halloween than we are Christmas, but SO WHAT! If there is anything that will get you ready for the holiday spirit it's THIS EVENT at Magic Kingdom!

New for this season was an "overlay" of sorts of the Jungle Cruise called "Jingle Cruise."

There were some holiday decorations added to the queue area...

...and each of the Jungle Cruise boats were given new "Jingle" names to them.

We thought this touch was kind of cute and really got us excited for the rest of the ride...

So we boarded our "Jingle Cruise" boat...

And while the idea was "cute", unfortunately there wasn't any additional Christmas decorations throughout the rest of the ride. Really thought they could have at least put some lights on some of the scenes, like the expedition camp or something, maybe a Santa hat on one of the animals, you know? There were a few "Christmas jokes" in the spiel. You can see a ride-through of the attraction both day and night here...

For some reason, KidTums had never ridden Jasmine's Flying Carpets and found it HILARIOUS to get us wet from the camels! Thanks, dear! =)

When you see these candy canes, that's when you need to know you have to stop and get...

...complimentary cookies and hot chocolate! Yum! The cookies are delicious!

It's a snow-covered Space Mountain after all!

I really love these little "touches" they do to theme up the park for the different holidays.

And the castle looks AWESOME at Christmas time!

I love that the hard ticket holiday events have their own parades and fireworks show. Another reason why they are worth every penny! (And the fact that rides like Space Mountain and Big Thunder are usually walk-ons more than makes up for it!)

Goofy sure loves his candy float! =)

Here we are "Glowing with the Show!"

Even the castle projection show has it's own holiday themed section!

I will say it does appear the "Glow with the Show" ears have not quite taken off yet.
