It doesn't feel like a typical Six Flags park. Rides are better themed than their American counterparts. For example, the park took a standard spinning coaster and created the well received "Joker" which includes a magnificent funhouse style queue. Superman el Ultimo Escape is the parks one standout coaster, although that will may change when Medusa Steel Coaster opens in 2014. The park has a sufficient number of water rides for its intense heat and many areas of the park have adequate shading. The variety of food in the park was good, including a wonderful pastry shop in the French area. Speaking of themed areas, many of the flat rides in each area tie into the theme. The variety of flats is also very nice. Operations are a tad slow but nothing extreme.
This is my favorite Six Flags Park after visiting all parks in the chain. The park is very well themed and they have actual restaurants in the park. Superman has tons of airtime and is an amazing custom ride. The other coasters are all mediocre. Dark Knight has theming in the queue (subway cars). The "VIP tour" is actually a wristband that allows you to walk up the exit (or join the station portion of the line). Queues were full for all rides during my visit. Full day needed.
