While others have not liked this park, I rather enjoyed this park. So the coasters were mediocre, and the pricing was a bit high, the views the park gave while on some of the rides, and just being right at the beach made this park a nice relaxing stop in the day. The arcade looked fantastic and around the playland there's a pier and the beach is right there. Palace Playland is one of those parks that you can do in the middle of the day, to break up your beach time, or just want to do something a bit different for a bit.
It is a good park with some great flats a water ride, two coasters and it is right on the beach. It is much more than just a permanite carnival. And they plan to do major renovation to the whole park. With new rides and possibly new coaster which will put the park up to 3.
Palace Playland is literally a carnival that never left town. It's a seaside park that's solely meant to draw in tourists. The ride tickets - pshh, there are awfully expensive and overpriced. I think it costed like 8 bucks for three rides - which I've been to some fairs and they've had better pricing.
I guess it's an ok place to visit - the only redeemable aspect is it's arcade which is far larger then normal for a seaside attraction. It honestly looks like the place cares more about the arcade then having decent looking rides - high amount of rust on everything except their new Zamperla attraction.
Alot of work to be done when it comes to this place - hate to say it but I was unimpressed.
A perfect park for the local tourists on the beach, Palace Playland isn't a park I would exactly go out of my way for unless your goal in life is to ride every coaster in the world. The park is split in two sections across the street from each other and does offer a strange bouncy drop tower.
Like many Seaside parks, it can get very expensive with individual ride tickets.
Palace Playland is a permanent carnival and nothing more. That doesn't mean it is a bad park, but it isn't a good idea to get your expectations up too much. Other than the two coasters and Adrenalin, there isn't anything worth doing here unless you are at the beach for the day. In that case, buy an all-day wristband and spend a couple hours here to add a bit of variety to your day.
this pier doesn't have enough to stop or seek out on its own, but if you're going to enjoy the shops, beach, or food in the area its a nice place to spend time. Ride a few kids rides, play games and win prizes. Just don't leave possessions unattended for a second... Coasters here are mediocre carnival style. Don't expect any show stoppers at a beach pier, go to Disney.
