Kennyweird Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I give you my first "good" NL coaster, Strangelet! Strangelet is a fast paced B&M hyper with lots of speed and extreme airtime. However, since it is my first predominately tool-built coaster, it does have a few design issues. In order to make this easier for the TPR crowd, I've decided to only upload the actual track file and forgo the textures and 3ds's. They weren't impressive anyway. Constructive criticism is welcome. **Requires 1.6 friction** Strangelet.nltrack
Thelegendarymatthew Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Well I don't have NoLimits and I would like to see more pictures. Is that the color scheme? It looks horrid! Nowadays I can't stand color schemes using blue rails and purple track, its just. . . . .. . .icky! -Matt
Kennyweird Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 ^It's supposed to have a "dark energy" theme to it, so I chose a color scheme that I thought would best reflect that. Maybe I chose wrong. If you want more pictures, go here: www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p5191
the ghost Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Ill give it a spin later tonight but right now im doing "homework" LOL
Angry_Gumball Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Actually, the purple and pink doesn't look quite as bad as it did in the screenshot. Maybe a not so vibrant pink would fit better. Not bad for a first coaster. Obviously, there will always be weird bumps and irregularities on a first track, which this had a handful. Otherwise, cool!
Kennyweird Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 ^Download it and you can have all the screenshots you want.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 ^I think he means he needs more screen shots before he decides whether or not do download it. EDIT: Also, to those who want more screen shots, here is the rides NLDC page: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p5191
Kennyweird Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 ^I already provided that link. Seriously though, if you have NoLimits, just take a moment to download it and tell me what you think. I need the feedback.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 ^I know, sometimes things have to be posted multiple times for people to look at them. I downloaded it, and it was pretty good! Here is my review of it.* The Good Original Layout Nice pacing for its length (6500 feet long and it still needed a trim at the end!) Great supports Generally smooth trackwork The Not So Good Minor bumps in the trackwork A trim was needed at the end My Verdict A great ride with few problems 8/10 *Yes I totally ripped off dr.gumbo's review style O.o
